Brothers Osborne live it up every way they can in “Sun Ain’t Even Gone Down Yet,” a bright and boisterous track from their upcoming self-titled album, out September 15.
On the tune, singer Tj Osborne paints a hard-partying picture of drinking hard and living fast over a funky-tonk backdrop of guitars and thwapping drums. Then he and his guitarist brother John join their voices to finish the tableau: “If a cold libation’s any indication, we’re gonna have a hell of a night,” they sing. “The day’s about...

British singer Zayn Malik seems to be marinating in nostalgia at least that’s what his social media post suggests. Zayn, who was earlier a part of the English-Irish boy pop band ‘One Direction’, shared a video on his Instagram on Tuesday.
The 30-second black-and-white video shows Zayn singing One Direction’s 2014 single ‘Night Changes’, reports ‘Billboard’.
In the new video, Malik sings the second half of the chorus — originally recorded by bandmate Harry Styles – crooning, “Everything that you’ve ever dreamed of/ Disappearing when you wake up/ But there’s nothing to be afraid of/ Even when the night changes/ It will never change me and you.”
While Malik mostly avoids addressing his days in One Direction, this is actually the second time he’s revisited the band’s catalogue on social media in the last three months.

New York R&b singer and producer Amber Mark made her debut in 2017 with 3:33Am, a movingly grief-stricken ode to her dead mother. It was a strikingly personal statement for a first release, and during the recording of her second EP, the bossa-nova-influenced Conexão, she struggled to match its emotional heft. “I was just throwing songs away because they weren’t deep enough or good enough,” she said in an interview at the time.

When Jaten Dimsdale started putting cover performances on YouTube under the name Teddy Swims in 2019, he tried everything from H.E.R. to George Strait, just to see who was listening. “It turned out that people were liking everything, or they just liked the personality. . . or my voice,” Dimsdale says, calling from his home base in Atlanta.
As a marketing strategy, it was a smashing success: With his animated, skillful performances, the bearded, tattooed 28-year-old singer has amassed more than 1.5 million YouTube subscribers and nearly 200 million views of his videos, plus a deal with Warner Records.

A bathroom figures significantly in the origin stories of at least two classic One Direction songs. The first will be familiar to any fan: Songwriter and producer Savan Kotecha was sitting on the toilet in a London hotel room, when he heard his wife say, “I feel so ugly today.” The words that popped into his head would shape the chorus of One Direction’s unforgettable 2011 debut, “What Makes You Beautiful.”
The second takes place a few years later: Another hotel room in England — this one in Manchester — where songwriters...

Maren Morris, Dan + Shay and Thomas Rhett were among the top nominees announced Thursday morning for the Academy of Country Music Awards, to air live from Las Vegas on CBS April 5.
Keith Urban was additionally announced Thursday as a first-time host for the show. It was expected that last spring’s ACMs host, Reba McEntire, might not be resuming the role after she stepped over to host the Cma Awards this past November. Hosts in recent years have mostly involved duos, with Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton pairing up with one another or McEntire.
The ACMs announced that Morris, Rhett and producer Dann Huff led the nomination total, with five each, followed by Dan + Shay, Shelton, Old Dominion and Justin Bieber with four. However, the math gets a little tricky with the ACMs and is best explained with a lot of asterisks, since for their tallies, unlike most other music awards,...

Niall Horan's original version of "Nice to Meet Ya" is a pop-rock track with strong Robbie Williams vibes (in a good way), but I have to be honest here: I think I might like his stripped-down version of the song better.
Still full of the swagger and playfulness that made the first edition of the song so catchy, Horan's live performance of the tune - which he shared on YouTube on Nov. 18 - has a raw quality to it that highlights the former One Direction singer's vocals. The song was cowritten by the 26-year-old singer-songwriter and his longtime collaborator, Julian Bunetta, and has the soulful groove and piano-driven sound that we hope Horan will stick with as he gears up for a new album.
Watch Horan's latest performance of "Nice to Meet Ya" above, and then if you still can't get enough (I wouldn't blame you), make sure you check out Diplo's remix.

Niall Horan has returned with a new single, “Nice to Meet Ya” — a pop rock track that features long-time collaborator Julian Bunetta as well as Tobias Jesso, Jr. and Ruth-Anne Cunningham.
The song starts with an urgent piano riff that builds up to include hand-claps, a sturdy bass line and the rest of his dynamic full band. Horan sings of a flighty lover that he can’t quite shake. “One minute you’re there/The next one you’re gone/Been waiting on you all night so c’mon,” he sings on the bridge.

The Country Music Association went with an all-female hosting lineup for this year’s show, and that woman-celebrating theme continued when nominations for the 53rd annual Cma Awards were announced Wednesday morning: Maren Morris led the pack with six nods.
Morris’ sophomore album, “Girl,” is up for album of the year, while the song of the same name, a recent No. 1 at country radio, is nominated in the single, song and music video categories. Her collaboration with Brothers Osborne, “All My Favorite People,” got a nod for musical event of the year. Morris also received a nomination for female vocalist of the year.

As Homer Simpson once toasted, “To alcohol: the cause of, and solution to, all of life’s problems.” Thomas Rhett echoes part of that sentiment in his celebratory new song “Beer Can’t Fix,” a duet with Jon Pardi. It’s the latest track to be released off Rhett’s upcoming album Center Point Road.
“Ain’t nothing that a beer can’t fix/ain’t no pain it can’t wash away/from the moment that it hits your lips/makes those clouds look a little less gray,” sings Rhett in the chorus.

Thomas Rhett looks back fondly on the vehicle that transported him into adulthood in “That Old Truck,” the latest release from his upcoming album Center Point Road. The follow-up to Rhett’s 2017 release Life Changes, Center Point Road will be available May 31st.
A gentle, mostly acoustic number that veers off from the dance-inflected country-pop of Rhett’s current single “Look What God Gave Her,” “That Old Truck” — penned by Rhett with Julian Bunetta, Kamron Kimbro and Ryan Tedder — offers up a series of vivid snapshots from Rhett’s coming of age.

When Maren Morris first hit the airwaves in 2015, she did so with “My Church,” a gospel-sized salute to the redemptive power of singing along to Hank, Johnny and other country icons. She’s been diversifying that countrified image ever since. “80s Mercedes” traded the western wear of “My Church” for a palette of neon colors and acid-washed denim, while “Once” dressed itself up like a long-lost R&B ballad. Morris’ biggest hit to date, the international dance smash “The Middle,” even found her trying on electro-pop for size.

Danielle Bradbery and Thomas Rhett team up on the wistful new duet “Goodbye Summer,” an updated version of Bradbery’s solo tune “Hello Summer.”
It’s a deceptive title, implying blue skies and tan lines along with every other popular country cliché. While those things do hover in the background, the story centers more on an intense, fleeting relationship that evaporates like a mirage when the season is over. “Hello summer, goodbye to my heart,” sings Bradbery, but by the end she’s changed her tune: “Goodbye summer, you tore me apart.

Danielle Bradbery is holding on to those summer vibes.
The 21-year-old songstress, who won the season four of The Voice on Blake Shelton's team, has teamed up with Et to debut one of her catchy new songs, "Hello Summer," which will feature on her next album. I Don't Believe We've Met is set for release on Dec. 1.
"Hello Summer" was co-written by Thomas Rhett, Rhett Akins, The Cadillac Three's Jaren Johnston and Julian Bunetta in a session originally intended for Rhett's Life Changes album. When Rhett decided not to select it for this project, he contacted Bradbery. The duo have stayed close since touring together in 2015, with Rhett serving as a mentor in recent years.
"He felt like the song could be re-written with female perspective, so I sat down with his dad [Akins] and he re-wrote some of the lyrics to fit my voice," Bradbery says. "Julian agreed to produce it and I'm so proud of how...

Niall Horan is back with a brand new sound. "I'm so happy to be releasing 'Slow Hands.' I've been listening to a lot of early '80s stuff lately and been inspired by that heavy bass and the funky guitar sound," the 23-year-old singer-songwriter told E! News Thursday. "It's another flavor to my album that I'm excited to share." The single follows Horan's debut solo song, "This Town," which he released in November 2016. Horan co-wrote "Slow Hands" and recorded it at L.A.'s East/West Studios; Julian Bunetta produced the song. Horan will shoot the music video for his second single sometime next week. Recently, in the podcast Bizarre Life With Dan...

Hot on the heels of releasing a new Ep, Brand New Moves, in August, Hey Violet is back at it again with even newer music, this time in the form of the single, “Guys My Age.” Though co-written by One Direction collaborator Julian Bunetta, it’s hardly a recreation of something 1D would do, but instead follows, stylistically, in the same path as their Ep.
Hey Violet came out with their I Can Feel It Ep last year, and after signing to 5 Seconds of Summer’s Hi Or Hey Records, it had a pop-punk nature to it that fit perfectly on stage with 5 Seconds of Summer. The two toured together all throughout the “Sounds Live Feels Live” world tour, but now, it seems as though Hey Violet are taking their sound into a genre that suits them a little better.

One Direction released their new song "Perfect" Friday, and according to the band's fans it's, well, "perfect." It's the second single from their fifth album Made in the A.M., which is set for release on Friday, Nov. 13. Band members Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles wrote the song along with Jacob Kasher, John Ryan, Maureen Anne McDonald and producers Julian Bunetta, Jesse Shatkin. Afterhrs also produced the song. After a snippet was released earlier this week, many blogs speculated that the song was about Styles' ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift; he has not commented on...

Before One Direction takes an extended hiatus next March (like all the real bands do), they'll first release their fifth album sometime this fall. We've already heard the inspirational "Drag Me Down," but what else does this post-Zayn album promise? The band's longtime producer, Julian Bunetta, has a lot to say about that. He tells Billboard that the band approached this next album knowing it could potentially be their last: "There was definitely a vibe of making [the album] the best it can possibly be, and knowing it has to last as long as it needs to until we make another record — if we make another record." And since we won't hear from 1D for a while, they packed all the drama into their new music. According to Billboard, the album will address Zayn going solo, though Bunetta also notes "there’s a song about losing someone that isn’t Zayn." Here's...

Almost exactly a year after releasing its third album, “Midnight Memories,” enduring boy band One Direction returns Nov. 17 with its fourth album, the cleverly titled “Four” (Are they in cahoots with Maroon 5, who just released “V,” their fifth album? Also, not to be confused with Huey Lewis & The News' "Fore" album) The British quintet announced the album via YouTube, as well as informed fans about the availability of 24-hour free download of “Fireproof.” Two of the band’s members, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne, co-wrote the new tune with John Ryan, Jamie Scott and Julian Bunetta. “Fireproof” is a mid-tempo, sweet, wistful tune, which features, per usual, the members trading lines about a love that goes on despite the odds. A drum loop propels it forward, as a nice electric guitar line gives it some heft. It doesn’t have an undeniably catchy chorus or build like “Story of My Life,...
