One Tree Hill alum Robert Buckley is a Hallmark fan favorite. He is currently starring in the upcoming Blind Date Book Club. His co-star is none other than Wcth star Erin Krakow. This promises to be an old fashioned romcom that is reminiscent of the classic romcom You’ve Got Mail.
The Oth alum is well-known in the Hallmark world. A few years back, he swooped in and freshened up the hit series Chesapeake Shores. His family’s over-the-top Christmas decoration obsession was the basis for The Christmas House.
However, now he has his sights on Hope Valley. Could Robert Buckley join When Calls The Heart? Here is what he has to say.

Robert Buckley stars alongside When Calls the Heart’s Erin Krakow in the new Hallmark Channel original movie Blind Date Book Club, airing April 6. Buckley has already starred in several Hallmark films and notably played Evan Kincaid in Chesapeake Shores. Could Buckley expand his Hallmark footprint and end up in the Wcth universe? If Buckley has it his way, then yes. While filming Blind Date Book Club, Buckley tells TV Insider, he pitched Krakow ideas for When Calls the Heart characters “because I’m shameless, and this is what I do. It became a bit where I just went, ‘Okay, obviously, I need to join When Calls the Heart, so what’s the role? Am I an inventor?'” He adds, “It sort of became this game every now and then I would just, apropos of nothing, start pitching her a character that I could play on the show. We...

Kevin (Brendan Penny) and Sarah (Jessica Sipos) brought their baby, Mick, home, and he began looking at medical schools. And Connor (Andrew Francis) and Margaret (Mariesa Crouse) might have found what they need to win David’s father’s case. Executive producer Phoef Sutton breaks down the finale and teases what would’ve happened next for the O’Briens. You ended perfectly, on the family gathering around the firepit. Was...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Chesapeake Shores Season 6 Episode 8 “I Get a Kick Out of You.”] Until the final moments of the latest Chesapeake Shores, the biggest things in the episode seem to be David (Carlo Marks) trying to find his dad (Malcolm Stewart) a lawyer and Evan (Robert Buckley) getting a surprise family reunion. But that changes when Luke (Stephen Huszar) stops at a gas station, and now we’re left wondering if the series’ penultimate episode might be very tragic. On the way back from visiting his parents’ graves on his mother’s birthday, Luke is in the store at the gas station when a man walks in to rob the place. [Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Chesapeake Shores Season 6 Episode 7 “It’s Not for Me to Say.”] As executive producer Phoef Sutton told TV Insider, “A lot of stuff that maybe would’ve taken two or three seasons to do, we kind of had to move forward.” And we certainly see that in the seventh episode of Chesapeake Shores‘ final season, with a time jump of six months. Abby (Meghan Ory) panics after Evan (Robert Buckley) comments that it feels like he’s known her forever and she replies, “it kind of sounds like you love me.” Mick (Treat Williams) interrupts the awkward moment that follows, allowing Evan to flee. Abby then asks Kevin (Brendan Penny) for advice, and all he can offer is that they have an open, honest conversation. Evan’s actually the one to start it, wondering, “Did you say that because you love me? Or just that you think I love you?...

The Chesapeake Shores Season 6 premiere ended with Evan showing up at the O’Briens with a yacht for his and Abby’s first date. The actress, who’s played practical divorcée and mother of two Abby O’Brien since Chesapeake Shores’ 2016 debut, knows the show’s diehard fans, called “Chessies,” will be excited to hear it. After spending time getting over love Trace (Jesse Metcalfe), Abby is ready to move on in the series’ sixth and final season. In last October’s cliffhanger, she left a voicemail message saying, “I think maybe we should give us a try” for one of the two men hoping to date her next. Was it kindhearted third-grade teacher Jay (Greyston Holt) or playful billionaire Evan? “You find out who she called pretty quickly,” Ory offers coyly. “Finally making the decision is her choice to trust herself, go with her heart and take a leap of faith.” Regardless of her pick, Abby will still be in business with Evan...

We’re only a week away from finding out if Abby (Meghan Ory) called Evan (Robert Buckley) or Jay (Greyston Holt) in the Chesapeake Shores Season 5 finale, but as we continue to wait, we want to know who you think she should choose. There’s Jay, the teacher, whom Abby invited as her plus one for Jess (Laci J. Mailey) and David’s (Carlo Marks) wedding. It seemed like something could happen between them and he won her over with his photo of her as an example of capturing a perfect moment. Still, in the finale, he admitted that while he had feelings for her, he also liked a guidance counselor at the school and wanted to start something with her unless Abby could tell him there was hope for the two of them. The made-for-tv movie was a programming staple for the broadcast networks in the 1970s and 1980s. While it fell out of favor in the 1990s and was even dropped as an Emmy Awards category for three years beginning in 2011, it has been on an upswing as of late. This year, 48 telefilms are in contention for the five nominations that will be revealed on July 12; last year, only 41 TV movies were submitted.
All 22,000 plus voting members of the TV academy have until June 27 to cast their 2022 Emmy Awards nominations ballots for their favorite TV movies. In the past, voters were limited in the number of telefilms that they could put forth. In 2017, that cap (which was usually 10 per category) was lifted. And, as opposed to the Oscars, voters for the Emmys do not rank their choices and nominees are determined by a simple tally.

After making history with its first openly LGBTQ+ lead character in The Christmas House, Hallmark is bringing back our favorite holiday-obsessed family for a spirited sequel. And it’s a total gift! The Christmas House 2: Deck Those Halls finds the Mitchells — dashing TV actor Mike (Robert Buckley of Chesapeake Shores), equally handsome gay baker brother Brandon (Mean Girls alum Jonathan Bennett), and parents Bill and Phylis — wrapped up in a twist that pits the brothers against each other in a snowy, showy battle of twinkling lights and animatronic reindeer. The original film was based on Buckley’s real-life childhood growing up in a California home that was absolutely drenched in seasonal decor by his parents every year. So much so that they became known as “The Christmas House.” In the new tale, Mike, having bought the Christmas House from his folks to keep the legacy alive, is back in...

We’re only a day away from the beginning of Crown Media Family Networks’ celebration of the holiday season, so it’s the perfect time for details on the full lineup of movies coming to Hallmark Channel (for “Countdown to Christmas”) and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries (for “Miracles of Christmas”), beginning on Friday, October 22. The highlights so far include cast reunions from Fuller House (Candace Cameron Bure and John Brotherton), The Wonder Years (Danica McKellar and Jason Hervey), and Back to the Future (Lea Thompson and Christopher Lloyd in a new time travel story). Plus, you don’t want to miss new movies in existing franchises. Kimberley Sustad, Brandon Routh and Gregory Harrison return from The Nine Lives of Christmas (2014) for The Nine Kittens of Christmas. The Mitchell family of The Christmas House (2020) is back in The Christmas House 2: Deck Those Halls (working title). Debbie Macomber’s Mrs. Miracle is...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Chesapeake Shores Season 5 Episode 7, “What’s New?”] In probably the most entertaining episode of Chesapeake Shores Season 5 (and maybe the series) so far, Evan (Robert Buckley) throws his back out and becomes a temporary guest at the O’Brien house simply due to the fact that he can’t move without a significant amount of pain. Mostly everyone’s amused. Abby (Meghan Ory) is, of course, less charmed (at least outwardly) than the others. (Who can blame her? He just told her he’s pulling out of the build after the Smithsonian ordered all work stopped while they uncover an old ship.) Even has Abby call Mandrake (Wesley Salter), who basically takes care of everything for him. Abby’s grandmother Nell (Diane Ladd) insists Evan ...

Trying to stuff a square peg into a round hole is a lesson in futility.
Evan is the current square peg in Abby's life, and that she doesn't find his wishy-washy behavior alarming makes no sense.
If you watch Chesapeake Shores online, you know that Abby and Trace had problems for years because Trace couldn't commit to her or the road. Evan is an even worse example of an undecided man.
There has not been a single comment on the Chesapeake Shores reviews all season long. That's despite Trace leaving and Evan rolling in to (poorly) take his place.
Chesapeake Shores Season 5 Episode 7 found Evan popping in to deliver the contract dissolution papers. But since he's never one to walk a straight line from start to finish, he detoured through Abby's personal space and hurt his back by being nosey.
Everything about that scene was uncomfortable, but how his attention...

The countdown to Hallmark Channel’s 12th annual “Countdown to Christmas” slate has begun. On Wednesday, Crown Media Family Networks revealed the first half of its holiday-tv movie schedule, which includes sequels to last year’s LGBTQ-inclusive “The Christmas House” and 2014’s “The Nine Lives of Christmas,” as well as films featuring on-screen reunions between “Back to the Future” stars, “Wonder Years” alums and “Fuller House” cast members.
With 41 titles coming in 2021 across the Hallmark Channel, sister network Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and streaming platform Hallmark Movies Now — the largest slate of Christmas movies Crown Media has ever put out — the Hallmark parent company is only unveiling a portion of the premiere dates today. But don’t worry, there will be more to unwrap in the weeks to come.

As a big fan of Robert Buckley, allow me to say that I do not like Evan Kincaid. At least not yet, anyway.
He made his first appearance on Chesapeake Shores Season 5 Episode 3, and the billionaire shtick was worn out after about two sentences.
The other big development of the hour was Connor's courtroom assignment and discovering that the family nemesis is a client.
Let's work our way up to the big stuff.
We finally saw Sarah again. Why is her story so thin when she's Kevin's wife now? They are not featured often enough. Jessica Sipos is a treasure, and Sarah deserves to be incorporated into the storyline.
Other than referencing the wedding and Megan's centerpiece work, there was nothing from Jess and David. They've got work to do with the newly opened inn and wedding plans.
Bree is getting ready to begin her new position, so touching base with her was nice.

Chessies, the day has arrived: Jesse Metcalfe‘s final episode of Chesapeake Shores aired on Sunday, and it was a bittersweet affair for former lovebirds Trace and Abby.
Much like in the Season 5 premiere, Abby’s family keeps asking her how she’s doing, and she puts on a tough front while wistfully thinking back on her and Trace’s last interactions together. She remembers via flashback how she discovered that Trace was selling his half of The Bridge to Mick. Well, that was one way to write off Trace as Jesse Metcalfe exits Chesapeake Shores.
The conversation ensuing after the fiery kiss Trace and Abby shared on the Chesapeake Season 4 finale was the undercurrent of the premiere, and it didn't pay off until the final seconds.
Unfortunately, it felts like this was a manipulated and retconned storyline to see Metcalfe off rather than a natural ending to their story.
Chesapeake Shores Season 5 Episode 1 was probably the most like the previous that we'll see all season.
There is a new showrunner, and we have additional cast joining the show that are sure to change the scope of the show.
Robert Buckley, who is significant enough of an addition to merit being splashed all over the promotional materials, wasn't even a part of the premiere if that gives you any indication of what lies ahead.

The made-for-tv movie was a programming staple for the broadcast networks in the 1970s and 1980s. While it fell out of favor in the 1990s and was even dropped as an Emmy Awards category for three years beginning in 2011, it has been on an upswing as of late. This year, 41 telefilms are in contention for the five nominations that will be revealed on July 13; last year only 28 TV movies were submitted.
All 22,000 plus voting members of the TV academy have until June 28 to cast their 2021 Emmy Awards nominations ballots for their favorite TV movies. In the past, voters were limited in the number of telefilms that they could put forth. In 2017 that cap (which was usually 10 per category) was lifted. And, as opposed to the Oscars, voters for the Emmys do not rank their choices and nominees are determined by a simple tally.
