By 2018, Will Compton, a 28-year-old backup linebacker on a one-year contract with the Tennessee Titans, knew his playing days were numbered. Contemplating a career after football, he considered going into real estate or coaching but couldn’t muster much enthusiasm for either. Driving home after a game one evening, he called Taylor Lewan, an offensive tackle for the Titans and his closest friend on the team, with whom he’d just done a postgame segment on Titans Radio. The two, who had bonded over their fondness for podcasts like The Joe Rogan Experience, had undeniable chemistry on the air, and the experience got them thinking about starting their own podcast. For Lewan, who had just signed a six-year deal with the Titans, it sounded like a fun time. For Compton, it was a go-for-broke career plan. The following year, they launched Bussin’ With the Boys.

From the sci-fi classic 2001: A Space Odyssey to the more recent horror hit M3GAN, genre entertainment has always found a way to make artificial intelligence feel dangerous. And as the latest movie to capitalize on AI anxiety, Spencer Brown‘s T.I.M. goes down a familiar path. Barbarian star Georgina Campbell eventually falls victim to something originally designed to make her character’s life easier. Yet unlike past stories where the threatening technology is out to overthrow its human makers, this movie’s namesake does the unexpected: it falls madly in love.
The plot of T.I.M. sounds more like a rehashed “Treehouse of Horror” story from The Simpsons than a horror movie, but Brown and co-writer Sarah Govett make their outlandish pitch work. Rather than an automated house going awry, though, the script delivers a humanoid AI robot who goes completely off script.

"I hope to bring you a life of ease and pleasure." Brainstorm Media has reveal a new US trailer for a kooky UK sci-fi thriller called T.I.M., made by filmmaker Spencer Brown. What if M3gan but about a sexy robot instead of a child's doll? That's pretty much the concept here. The sci-fi AI thriller, T.I.M. (which stands for Technologically Integrated Manservant), stars Georgina Campbell (from Barbarian), Eamon Farren as T.I.M., Mark Rowley, Amara Karan, and Nathaniel Parker. Inspired by '90s stalker thrillers, the film follows Abi (Campbell), a prosthetics engineer, and her husband Paul. As they adapt to a new life outside the city, Abi's latest project, the A.I. humanoid T.I.M., initially appears as the perfect aid. Programmed to serve only her, it begins to transform into a perilous obsession, determined to replace Paul and be with her. This looks much better than it sounds,...

Tales of musicians who sold their soul for fame are common enough, Crossroads, Trick or Treat, Dark Roads 79 and The 27 Club are just a few examples. The Devil Went Down to Islington is a little different, however. It tells the tale of a music teacher who makes a Faustian bargain while drunk, only to panic when he realizes what he’s done.
It actually opens like a bizarre action film with Father Crowley using switchblade crosses to fight a pair of masked figures who are attacking a panicked man. He defeats them, but in the end Satan claims another soul.
John Robertson Has had a morning from hell, and he hasn’t even sold his soul yet. He fails to save his cat from the garbage truck, then an Ofsted inspector shows up,...

A decent spoof is notoriously difficult to pull off – and despite some fun moments, this low-budget comedy horror is more trick than treat
There is something a bit exasperating about Daniel Wilson’s low budget comedy horror about a north London teacher who drunkenly sells his soul to the devil over a kebab. It’s a cheerful spoof that looks like everyone involved had lot of fun making. But in the end it feels too silly to be scary, with too few laughs to be properly funny. It also scores a grade F for its female characters.
That said, comedian Spencer Brown is likably daft as John, a failed indie guitarist who teaches music in a London school (he’s possibly less mature than most of his teenage pupils). John’s problems begin when his cat gets chomped by a recycling truck. Then he’s arrested for supplying class As to a pupil.

Altitude has boarded sales on the Village Roadshow Pictures thriller The Prize, starring Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty) and Haley Bennett (Till). The London-based company will present the project to buyers this week at the American Film Market, with additional support and review from Village Roadshow Pictures’ international sales team.
Written by Chris Sparling (Greenland) with Espen Sandberg (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) attached to direct, the pic is billed as a “taut Hitchcockian thriller” about an unwitting American who makes a last-minute trip to Sweden to attend the funeral of an old friend — a ranking member of the Nobel Prize selection committee — only to find himself entangled in the complex web of corruption and murder that exists beneath the surface of this rarified world.
Clarke is attached to play the role of Dan, and Bennett is set to play the role of Ida. Further casting is yet to be announced.

"If only we could choose to forget... So many memories that keep coming back. One's that just stick with you!" How often do we end up overthinking and over-analyzing everything that happens to us? All the time, right? Frank's Joke is an amusing, one-of-a-kind comedy short film made with both puppet animation + 2D animation, and a few live-action shots. Made by British filmmaker Ed Bulmer, this first premiered in 2018 commissioned by the BBC and BFI as part of Animation 2018, and is now available online to watch. Frank told a joke at his new place of work. Nobody laughed. Now at 3Am he's unable to sleep as he obsesses and ruminates over this social faux-pas, leading him to ponder on the nature of memory itself. He becomes trapped in a loop, a self-imposed purgatory for what seems like an age as the clock ticks by. With the voice of Spencer Brown as Frank.

Zombies seem to be a popular focus in the horror genre at the moment, with TV shows The Walking Dead bringing a new rejuvenated interest in the horror sub-genre. The success of the series seeming to be infectious, with a variety of zombie themed projects coming out every week, although most shuffle along without offering anything new to the genre.
Amongst the horde however you occasionally come across a breakout horror such as Shaun of the Dead (2004).
