His greatest success came when he started the distribution company Realart. He acquired exclusive distribution rights to all of the reissues from Universal Pictures for a ten-year period (1947-57). He was especially successful re-releasing the classic Universal horror series, the

Lou Costello comedies and Universal's catalog of westerns.
