- Lived with Guardian columnist Charlie Brooker for two years. They are now close friends.
- Her first job was at age 10, playing Helen Mirren's daughter in the British television drama Coming Through (1985) with Kenneth Branagh.
- Has played convicts: firstly, as convicted resistance fighter Elena Rivera in the 1999 futuristic prison flick Fortress 2: Re-Entry (2000); and secondly, as convicted murderer Pat Kerrigan in the British prison drama series Bad Girls (1999).
- Liz has an MA in English from Cambridge University.
- Has starred in two films directed by Paul W.S Anderson: Resident Evil (2002), and Alien vs. Predator (2004) in a cameo.
- She grew up in Redhill, Surrey, with her mother, a secretary, her personal trainer father and elder sister Sue. She started acting at 10 and by the age of 13, she'd starred in three TV shows including kids' drama News at Twelve (1988).
