- Jay Brennan was born on December 5, 1882 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He was an actor and writer, known for Expensive Husbands (1937), You Don't Know the Half of It (1929) and Two Flaming Youths (1927). He died on January 14, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York, USA.
- In the vaudeville comedy team, Savoy & Brennan, he was the "feed" or "straight" man. Female impersonator, Bert Savoy, was the comic half. He hired Stanley Rogers to replace Savoy from 1923 to 1930, when the team broke up.
