Lyonne's Father Debunks Gawker Gossip
American Pie star Natasha Lyonne's father has hit out at gossip on a celebrity sighting site claiming she looks "like she could die any minute." Lyonne, who reportedly checked herself into rehab in Malibu a few months ago, was spotted looking haggard and ill in Manhattan, according to Gawker.com's Gawker Stalker feature. The web site claims she was seen "looking like she is in a drug-induced coma," "covered in some sort of bad red rash," and "like she could die any minute." However, Lyonne's furious father, radio host Aaron Braunstein, has slammed the rumors and is threatening legal action against any more injurious postings. He tells the New York Daily News, "Natasha is safe and sound in California, working on her role in Clara Bow. Her sightings in New York by Gawker people is a lie, and if Mel Sachs (attorney) and our (lawyers) find out who is spreading these vicious lies, they will be dealt with legally, in an ugly, expensive matter." Braunstein refused to comment on allegations the actress had undergone a stint in rehab. Lyonne, who played feminist Jessica in the American Pie movies, was arrested by Miami Beach police on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving and leaving the scene of an accident in 2001. She pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and received six months of probation and 50 hours of community service.

Lyonne's Father Slams "Homeless" Reports
Troubled actress Natasha Lyonne's father has rubbished reports his daughter is "homeless" - insisting she is wealthy and living very comfortably. Aaron Braunstein has spoken out on behalf of the troubled American Pie star, who is currently facing a string of police charges, including criminal mischief, harassment and trespassing. He tells the New York Post, "Everyone keeps saying 'Poor Natasha, she's homeless,' but she's very wealthy. I live in a huge penthouse with nine bedrooms on the Upper West Side; her grandparents are very wealthy in Beverly Hills." And he claims Lyonne refuses to be tried over her alleged threat to sexually molest a former neighbor's dog because "nothing happened." He adds, "It's obvious the case is going to be dismissed. (Criminal lawyers) Mel Sachs, Ben Brafman and Bruce Cutler say unless the dog testifies, there's no case." Lyonne failed to appear in court last month. The absence marks the fourth time Lyonne has missed a court date and the third time a bench warrant has been issued for her arrest.

Lyonne's Father To Sue Hospital
The father of hospitalized actress Natasha Lyonne is taking legal action against the Beth Israel Hospital after an employee leaked information about his daughter's critical condition. The American Pie star is reportedly fighting for her life in the New York City hospital's intensive care unit, after being diagnosed with hepatitis C, a heart infection and a collapsed lung. According to the New York Daily News, her father Aaron Braunstein is planning to sue the hospital for $180 million after an article appeared in the New York Post detailing the 26-year-old actress' medical condition and alleged methadone therapy. Braunstein says, "They broke the patient-doctor confidentiality rule. It's my child, my little girl. Why would someone do something like that? Be sure the hospital is going to be sued. Natasha's basically a very kind, sensitive person. A lot of the stuff you see there is camouflage. It was a persona, her character."...

Natasha Lyonne "Fighting for Her Life"
American Pie star Natasha Lyonne is reportedly fighting for her life in a New York City hospital, after being found with hepatitis C, a heart infection and a collapsed lung. The New York Post reports that the missing actress has been found struggling to survive in the Beth Israel Hospital's intensive care unit. The publication says that as well as the range of health problems she's battling, Lyonne was also found with track marks, and is undergoing methadone treatment, typically used to help heroin users. Her father Aaron Braunstein, who visited the 26-year-old actress a week ago, tells TV show Access Hollywood, "I read the article. I'm crying, actually. It's terrible. That's my little girl. It's a terrible tragedy. But she's gonna get better. We're all praying for her and she's a tough girl. As we see in the paper, she's probably with the wrong crowd, but the main thing she picked up is (hepatitis C) in Bulgaria (while shooting her 2001 movie The Grey Zone)." And Braunstein is certain the New York Post will face legal action for exposing details of Lyonne's condition, explaining, "There's a confidentiality between patient, doctor and hospital, so all of this is gonna be probably a major lawsuit."...
