- Kenny Bowers was born on March 10, 1923 in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA. He was an actor, known for Best Foot Forward (1943), Broadway Rhythm (1944) and I'll Be Seeing You (1944). He died on July 26, 1991 in New York City, New York, USA.
- Nat 'King' Cole recorded a song written by Bowers and Maurice Murray called "Half A Mind" on June 10, 1955 in Chicago but the four songs recorded at that session with Nelson Riddle and his Orchestra were rejected or lost by Capitol Records. Bowers later recorded the song for Columbia Records.
