- Emmanuel Bourdieu was born on April 6, 1965 in Paris, France. He is a writer and director, known for Poison Friends (2006), Candidature (2001) and Vert paradis (2003).
- Son of Pierre Bourdieu.
- As a playwright and theatre director, he became friends with a group of renowned young French actors and directors including Arnaud Desplechin, Bruno Podalydes and Jeanne Balibar.
- Was a philosophy professor before undertaking a career in theatre and film.
