Lucy Benjamin, recently noticed for her work in the TV soap opera,
EastEnders, was born in Reading in 1970. Schooled in Maidenhead, she
went on to a theatre school rather than continuing her academics. Her
mother and brother live in Birmingham, to which Lucy often pays visits.
Her first performances are credited under her birth name, Lucy Baker
(or even Lucy-Jane Baker) - she changed her last name to her brother's
name - Benjamin.
