Everywhere you turn, there are odd mashups occurring throughout comics, especially at Warner Bros. and DC Comics where the wall separating properties has crumbled. The latest example is the confounding The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania direct-to-video film. Apparently they must have had a success with The Flintstones & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania because here’s a sequel.
Thankfully, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Big Show has been frozen in ice, like a certain star-spangled Avenger, and when George Jetson thaws him out, the wrestler wants title back. He does this by vanquishing that era’s wrestle-bots and once he takes the throne, decides he wants to take over the universe. Coming to the future’s rescue as Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Alicia Fox, the Uso Brothers, Sheamus and WWE impresario Vince McMahon.

"Everyone who loves the theatre loves what Tom Stoppard and Marc Norman created with the miracle that is Shakespeare in Love," said Thomas Schumacher, President and Producer of Disney Theatrical Productions.

My new year’s resolution continued through into the month of February and I was able to watch a few more new films. I was only able to check out nine new films in February, not as good as my twenty-one in January, but they were just as good. February was filled with animated superheroes, Academy Award hopefuls, British humour, some crappy horror & animation, an Adam Sandler comedy, and a horse.
So here it is, my second month’s journey in cinema, in the order I watched them:
(#22) Secretariat – 2010 – Directed by Randall Wallace
In the past “horse movies” haven’t really appealed to me, so when this came out last year it didn’t interest me too much. I finally decided to give it a chance, and I’m glad that I did.
The incomparable John Malkovich yet again does an amazing job in the role he is given as Lucien Laurin.

Easy A (15)
(Will Gluck, 2010, Us) Emma Stone, Penn Badgley, Amanda Bynes, Patricia Clarkson. 92 mins
There's always room for a smart-mouthed high-school comedy in a Juno/Mean Girls vein – it's just a pity they come along so rarely. This doesn't quite make that grade but it aims for it, tackling issues of virginity and sluttishness through the story of a nice girl who lies about who she's laid and suffers the fallout – especially from the Jesus freaks.
Carlos (15)
(Olivier Assayas, 2010, Fra/Ger) Edgar Ramírez, Alexander Scheer. 159 mins/334 mins
The life of the terrorist serves as a thrilling survey of cold war-era geopolitics in Assayas's swift, stylish, serious biopic, which covers a staggering amount of ground. See feature, p10.
Red (12A)
(Robert Schwentke, 2010, Us) Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren. 111 mins
Senior-citizen assassin comedy that gets away with a lot thanks to its cast. As a ride, it's more stairmaster than a rollercoaster.

Alpha and Omega is released in 3d in UK cinemas this coming Friday and I got to see it a couple of weeks ago. Although it’s not based on my demographic whatsoever, I did take some good things away from it. The movie is aimed at young kids who probably haven’t been to the cinema too many times before, if ever and this will be a great introductory movie, to take them along to.
Alpha and Omega is directed by Anthony Bell and Ben Gluck with a voice cast which includes the legendary Easy Rider himself, Dennis Hopper alongside Christina Ricci, Justin Long, and Hayden Panettiere. You’ll notice Dennis Hopper’s name in there and this movie was the final one that he filmed before he died earlier this year. A tribute was very quick to come up at the end of the movie and was nice to see.

This Friday, 22nd October sees the release of Lionsgate’s new animation, Alpha and Omega. The movie turned out to be the last movie that the legendary Easy Rider himself, Dennis Hopper was able to make before he died earlier on this year. It also features a voice cast which includes Christina Ricci, Justin Long, Hayden Panettiere, Bitsie Tulloch and is directed by Ben Gluck and Anthony Bell.
Synopsis: What makes for the ultimate road trip? Hitchhiking, truck stops, angry bears, prickly porcupines and a golfing goose with a duck caddy. Just ask Kate and Humphrey, two wolves who are trying to get home after being taken by park rangers and shipped halfway across the country. Humphrey is an Omega wolf, whose days are about quick wit, snappy one-liners and hanging with his motley crew of fun-loving wolves and video-gaming squirrels. The Greek letters Alpha and Omega mean first and last, respectively. They are also used for the rankings of wolves. Kate (Hayden Panettiere) is destined to be the leader of the pack, the Alpha wolf, whereas her childhood friend Humphrey (Justin Long) is the low-ranking comedic Omega wolf. Kate is to marry Garth, the next Alpha of the Eastern pack, to unite all of the wolves in the region of Jasper National Park in Canada. Even though Kate is willing to marry him as her duty, she finds his howling unattractive and a series of events leads Kate and Humphrey, an unlikely pairing in terms of rankings, to be trapped in Idaho. Call it It Happened One Wolf Pack.

Alpha and Omega
Directed by: Anthony Bell, Ben Gluck
Cast: (voices) Justin Long, Hayden Panettiere, Danny Glover, Dennis Hopper
Running Time: 1 hr 28 min
Rating: PG
Release Date: September 17, 2010
Plot: Alpha wolves are trained to be the pack hunters, whereas omega wolves are supposed to be the goofy comic relief. The two groups can’t intermarry. This makes it harder for the fun-loving Humphrey (Long), because he’s crazy in love with the top alpha, Kate (Panettiere). When Humphrey and Kate are darted and relocated from Canada to Idaho to repopulate, Humphrey finally has a chance to prove he’s worthy of Kate’s affection.
Who’S It For? Kids. No surprise there, right? Except, it’s always nice when the adults can enjoy it, too. Warning: Alpha and Omega is tolerable for one, maybe two viewings for anyone over thirteen.
Expectations: I was really hoping for something cute and diverting.

Moviefone Mama Says: Although this Lionsgate and Crest Animation comedy, about two wolves trying to make their way back home, isn't on the same level as Pixar or DreamWorks' animated features, it's an amusing romance-driven animal tale, best suited for middle-graders and up. Kate (Panettiere) and Humphrey (Long) prove that the best relationships aren't based on class or popularity, but on love and friendship. Their journey back home to Canada, after getting whisked off to Idaho to "repopulate" (they don't), isn't all that epic or adventurous, but there are a few funny scenes with a golf-crazed Canadian goose (Larry Miller) and a British duck (Eric Price), whom they meet. The fall box office season is a theatrical limbo between the sizzlers of summer and awards-magnets of winter, but four new wide releases will freshen multiplex marquees this weekend.
Any effect on industry fortunes from the season's second frame might have to come collectively, as none of the market entrants is assured of ringing up more then teen millions through Sunday. That's unfortunate with Hollywood having launched its new domestic season last weekend with a 10% year-over-year downtick.
Friday's start of Yom Kippur won't help. But the somber religious holiday generally hurts only older-skewing pics and only in larger markets, so youth-seeking new films should be relatively unaffected.
Sony's teen comedy "Easy A" looks to be the strongest of the new movies and is tracking best with young females. Directed by Will Gluck ("Fired Up!"), the PG-13 pic stars Emma Stone, Amanda Bynes and Penn Badgley in a tale of high...

Alpha and Omega, the new animated adventure from Lionsgate, is hitting September 17th, and I’ve got a new clip. More importantly, I wanted to put the trailer up again, and give you a look at some of the info and images for the film again, because I don’t want this one to fall through the cracks.
It’s a notoriously iffy time at the box office, with more push coming before and after back-to-school days, and I wonder if too many people aren’t going to skim past yet another animated animal venture. I’m not sure we’ve got the next greatest thing here, but this one looks like a good deal of fun, and what I’ve seen so far makes me hope that audiences at least give this one a fair shake.
The new clip doesn’t quite give you miles to go on, but give this film another look.

Lionsgate has released an international movie trailer for the upcoming 3D computer animated movie Alpha & Omega. Directed by Anthony Bell and Ben Gluck, the family adventure comedy tells the story of two mismatched young wolves are thrown together by circumstance. The voice cast includes Justin Long, Hayden Panettiere, Christina Ricci, Dennis Hopper, Danny Glover, and Vicki Lewis. The movie looks like a subpar effort even compared to DreamWorks films, and the storyline seems rather generic. Watch the trailer now embedded after the jump. Leave your thoughts in the comments below. Official Plot Synopsis: What makes for the ultimate road trip? LionsGate isn't really the studio most people think of for cutting edge 3D CGI animation. In fact, despite having a film or two in release, I don't ever think of LionsGate with respect to animation, at all. But they're trying. The latest attempt to capture the hearts and minds of audiences is Alpha and Omega, a story of two wolves trying to rejoin their pack. Check out the trailer after the break. The synopsis for this one is pretty thin: "two mismatched wolves are thrown together by circumstance," is basically the extent of it. The leads, voiced by Justin Long and Hayden Panettiere, are trapped and taken to Idaho, then have to try to find their way home. Along the way there's some class-based comedy and a little lupine romance. Supporting cast includes Christina Ricci, Danny Glover, Dennis Hopper, and Larry Miller. The film is directed by Anthony Bell and...

Lionsgate hasn't had much luck with animated movies (e.g. Happily N'Ever After) but they're still trying to find a formula that works and a story that audiences enjoy. Due out in theaters this fall is another new 3D animated movie from Lionsgate called Alpha and Omega about two mismatched wolves who, obviously, end up together due to some crazy circumstance. The voice cast includes Justin Long, Hayden Panettiere, Dennis Hopper, Christina Ricci, Christine Lakin and Danny Glover. This looks like it'll be a lot of fun with charming story, but not anything up to the level of Pixar. Anyway, give it a chance & check this out. Enjoy! A music video aimed to promote Jazmine Sullivan's single called "In Love With Another Man" has been brought out. Starting with a message saying, "Passion makes the world go round, love just makes it a safer place", the black-and-white video captures a dilemma a girl faces when she has to choose between two guys.
Insisting that she wants to deal with it alone, the girl finds it hard to tell a man she used to love that she has a crush on another man and has to leave at once so that he can move on with his life. When things are over, time moves backward, narrating the time she first met the guy she is in love now and how the relationship is built behind her ex-lover's back.
