- Although he had no formal acting training, Baldasare became an acclaimed Shakespearean actor. In addition to performing all of the great plays, he authored the book "Shakespeare Soup," wrote and performed the one-man-show "Horatio's Hamlet" (which was adapted as a short film), and toured schools, libraries and other venues teaching Shakespeare.
- In the 1980s, Baldasare was a member of ArtReach, a touring company of performers whose goal was to get kids interested in the arts, and he was employed as a workshop instructor in a Franklin County, Ohio program for mentally disabled children. He also starred in Steven C. Anderson's 1988 play "Over the Wall," which centered around three deaf kids.
