Grimmfest keep on delivering the goods despite a worldwide pandemic. Their latest treat comes along with the May Bank Holiday and includes Cody Calahan’s latest movie Vicious Fun.
Set in the eighties, the crazy story has us follow a horror movie journalist (instantly relatable to a big chunk of this films audience!) who somehow ends up in a self-help group for serial killers. When his attempts at blending in don’t go to plan he has to work out a way to survive… I’m glad the word fun is in the title of this movie. It is often something that people seem to think is a less than positive way of describing films. But I love films that are fun and it is a perfect description here.

Turner Latin America’s new English-language film label Particular Crowd has kicked off its partnership with Canadian shingles Breakthrough Entertainment and Black Fawn Films with horror-comedy “Vicious Fun,” now in post.
“An outrageous mash-up of dread and humor, ‘Vicious Fun’ lives up to its title,” said Craig McGillivray, Breakthrough Entertainment’s VP of distribution. “We are thrilled to have Turner Latin America’s new movie banner, Particular Crowd, as a partner on this film, and look forward to sharing the howls and horrors we’ve created together,” he added.
“Vicious Fun” tracks Joel, a mordant 1980s film critic for a national horror magazine, who finds himself ensnared in a self-help group for serial killers. To avoid becoming the next victim, Joel tries to blend in with the murderous pack.

The fifth and final season of Syfy’s Killjoys will see the show close things out on its own irreverent terms.
Killjoys, as its fans certainly know by now, is coming to a close with the upcoming fifth season. The space-set Syfy series, which launched back on June 19, 2015, has enjoyed four seasons on the NBCU-owned cable channel in the U.S. and Space channel in Canada. However, by the conclusion of Season 4, it was already revealed that Season 5 would be the final chapter of galactic saga of bounty hunters Yalena “Dutch” Yardeen (Hannah John-Kamen), Johnny Andras Jaqobis (Aaron Ashmore) and D’avin Jaqobis (Luke Macfarlane).
In the latest on the fifth and final season of Syfy’s Killjoys, the full-length trailer has dropped...

As Yogi Berra might have put it, it’s “Armageddon deja vu” all over again in the final season teaser for Syfy’s Killjoys.

There's nothing I love more than closing out a season with positive renewal news... Yay!
Especially since Killjoys seriously upped the ante in its second season. The incredible world building opened up, our characters evolved plus we met a few new players, and the writing was consistently terrific. We laughed. We cried. We were shocked, but in the end always entertained.
I have zero complaints about this finale. They even brought Clara back and gave us an outstanding space battle. How about those VFX guys?
Yeah, I could not be more satisfied with Killjoys Season 2 Episode 10.

A ton of information was thrown at us in the first half of this installment. Though it was important to learn how it all began, I admit I struggled a bit to wrap my head around it all. Things made much more sense after a second viewing.
