Commissioning Edior of Drama at Channel 4, London (1987-1997). Among
his award-winning commissions were: A Very British Coup, Traffik
(miniseries), GBH, Tales of The City, The Politician's Wife, Lipstick
on Your Collar and Dance To The Music of Times.
He was also involved inn the early years of Film On 4 working under the
Head of Drama David Rose. He worked on the development of Playing Away,
My Beautiful Laundrette and The Good Father. Peter is the author of
From Liverpool To Los Angeles (Faber, 1987)an account of contemporary
screenwriting in Great Britain.

Peter began his career as a script editor and producer with BBC Drama.
Among his productions were Empire Road (1979), the UK's first all black
soap opera, David Hare's Bafta award winning 'Licking Hitler'(1978)and
Farrukh Dhondy's 'Good at Art'(1982).
