TVLine is reporting that Lee Majors (The Six Million Dollar Man) and Shirley Jones (The Partridge Family) have signed on to play the parents of Raising Hope patriarch Burt Chance (Garret Dillahunt) this season on the Fox comedy. There's been no details released about the extent of their stay or what brings them around the family, but this is another classic TV get for the Chance family. Recently, Richard Dean Anderson (Macgyver) was announced as another guest star for the upcoming season, which is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 20th at 9:30.
This will be another interesting look at the extended family of Virginia, Burt, Jimmy, and Maw Maw, as last season we got to meet Cousin Mike and Virginia's cousin Delilah (Amy Sedaris). One can only assume that the presence of Burt's parents will lead to some pretty fantastic flashbacks to young Burt and Virginia, an element of...

Now we all have heard about the religious sects that endorse polygamy. Shoot, Tlc has created a television series out of it. Well, Raising Hope has thrown its hat into the ring of this hot topic issue... but with a little twist. When Cousin Mike returns after a 15 episode absence, he brings more back than the Chance family expected. Does this episode bring along a great deal of comedy along with its brother husbands? Give a hearty "Boo-ya" and read on to find out.
The big story this week was based around the return of Cousin Mike. When he showed up with his wife Tanya (guest Mary Lyn Rajskub) and his brother husbands (guest stars Paul F. Tompkins, Kent Avenido, and Christopher Frontiero) I expected there to be a great deal of humor between them and the rest of the Chance family. Sadly, I don't think we got the great...

Fox is carving out its own night of comedy on Tuesday nights and its new series Raising Hope (airing on Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m.) is part of that line-up (see Fox's full fall and midseason schedules). We have a promo for you below.
Raising Hope is a new single-camera family comedy from Emmy Award winner Greg Garcia ("My Name Is Earl") that follows the Chance family as they find themselves adding an unexpected new member into their already terribly flawed household.
At 23 years old, Jimmy Chance (Lucas Neff, "The Beast") is going nowhere in life. He skims pools for a living, parties every night and still lives at home with his family, including his Maw Maw (guest star Academy Award and Emmy Award winner Cloris Leachman); his mother, Virginia (Martha Plimpton, "How to Make It in America"); his father, Burt (Garret Dillahunt, "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," "Damages"); and his cousin,...

Chicago – The networks announce their fall schedules this week and the first one out of the gate was the one that will likely see the least upheaval as the 2010-2011 schedule for Fox looks a lot like the 2009-2010 season. We knew “24” was ending after eight seasons on the air and that “‘Til Death” was likely done. The only slightly on-the-bubble show renewed was “Human Target” and the network announced seven new programs overall, three of which will premiere in the fall.
The biggest news was that the network is confident enough in the first-season success of “Glee”, the no. 1 new series of the season among Adults 18-49, that they’re using it to anchor a new Tuesday comedy block with a pair of premiere sitcoms: “Raising Hope” and “Running Wilde”. Both programs come from notable creators with “Hope” marking the return of “My Name is Earl” creator Greg Garcis...
