From the writer of Rudy and Hoosiers, Angelo Pizzo’s screenplay captures another great sports moment in history. The timely story shows how two young kids are able to look past the pressures and rules and do what kids do – have fun. Black and white fade away and they create a lifelong bond that changes a city. Based on a true story, the film is set in 1970 in Gallatin, Tennessee, and follows two boys, Eddie Sherlin and Bill Ligon (McDowell), growing up on opposite sides of the tracks who shared a passion for basketball. After years of playing wherever they could find a hoop, Eddie and Bill entered the rigors of their respective high school teams. And at the end of the 1970 season, all-white Gallatin...

Another entry in 88 Films’ Grindhouse Collection, Creepozoids is one of those movies that came to great prominence in my youth thanks to it’s regular appearance on the Stephen King’s This Is Horror TV show, which used to screen on late night ITV in the early 90s. And whilst I feel like I’ve seen most of the film thanks to the number of clips shown in that series, I have never sat down and watch Creepozoids in it’s entirety. Until now.
Set in 1998, six years after the nuclear apocalypse of World War III, the film sees group of army deserters, Bianca (Quigley), Kate (McKamy), Butch (Abraham), Jesse (Aranda), and Jake (Hawkins), take refuge in a seemingly abandoned laboratory complex. They soon discover...

It looks like there won't be another season of Hey Paula. The star of the series has pulled the plug.
The Bravo reality series follows actress/singer/choreographer/American Idol judge Paula Abdul through her daily trials and tribulations -- preparing for another season of Idol, developing her perfume and cosmetics line, and working on the movie Bratz. To the public, Abdul appears self-obsessed and emotionally fragile. The series gives an inside look as to some of the possible reasons why -- pressures from the relentless press, Idol, and from running numerous self-titled businesses.
Hey Paula is produced by Abdul, Ken Abraham, Darren Maddern, David Russo, David Russo, and Scott Sternberg. The series kicked off with two episodes on June 28, 2007 and averaged just over 600,000 viewers. Viewership fell to half that by the end of the season's seven episode run.
Prior to the debut, Abdul said, "It's a hectic time in...
