Aimee: The Visitor opens with a title card telling us that Aimee was not portrayed by an actor or created with digital effects. She is, they claim, the first femme fatale created using AI. The timing is ironic considering the current strikes in Hollywood were, in part, the result of studios wanting to replace writers and performers with AI. However, if this is state of the art, they don’t need to worry just yet.
Scott Keyes is a hacker. You can tell because he has his computer set up in an abandoned loft and sits shirtless in front of his monitor so engrossed in the porn he’s watching he doesn’t notice he’s not alone.
Hunter and his sister Gazelle (Faith West; Maid Droid) have stopped by with some software for him.

It’s a big news week for our old pal Swamp Thing. DC Studios head James Gunn announced that a Swamp Thing movie will be part of the first slate of DC films he will be producing as he reboots the DC Universe. The next day, we heard that Logan director James Mangold is in early talks to direct the Swamp Thing movie. This morning, we released a Revisited episode that looks back at director Wes Craven’s 1982 version of Swamp Thing (you can watch that in the embed above). And now Mvd Entertainment is gearing up to give the 1989 sequel The Return of Swamp Thing a 4K Uhd release! The release date is February 7th, and copies can be pre-ordered at This Link.
Directed by Jim Wynorski from a screenplay by Neil Cuthbert and Grant Morris, The Return of Swamp Thing has the following synopsis: After her mother’s mysterious death,...

Check out these exclusive new behind the scenes stills taken on the set of Dustin Ferguson’s Los Angeles Shark Attack. The film stars one of my favourite scream queens Brinke Stevens (Slumber Party Massacre), along with Mel Novak (Bruce Lee’s Game of Death), Maria Olsen (I Spit on Your Grave: Déjà vu), Dawna Lee Heising (Nemesis 5: The New Model), Alan Maxson (Godzilla: King of The Monsters), Alana Evans (Moon of the Blood Beast) and Vida Ghaffari (The Mindy Project).
In Los Angeles Shark Attack, the beaches of Los Angeles have been the scene of several recent grisly mutilations. With the bodies drenched with water and scars not resembling any modern street weapon, the Police begin to suspect it’s a rogue shark. With the much anticipated grand opening of a new beachside resort quickly approaching and the bodies beginning to pile up, it is up to marine biologists,...

We horror fans have been spoiled in recent years when it comes to home video titles, with labels like Scream Factory, Arrow, Synapse, Vinegar Syndrome, Blue Underground and several others releasing genre titles both classic and obscure on pristine high definition Blu-rays, often laden with tons of extra content for too much of a good thing. Now Lionsgate is throwing its hat into the special edition Blu-ray market with Chopping Mall, the first title in their new Vestron Video Collector’s Series. They couldn’t have picked a better title to kick off what is, based on the quality work here, a very promising new label.

As you know, music plays a huge part in the filmmaking process and plays with our emotions while we are watching the movie. Music heightens our senses and adds to the quality of film. When it comes to horror movies, the music is supposed to scare us, make us feel uneasy, and gives us moments of panic and fear. Director Martin Scorsese said the following about music and film:
“Music and cinema fit together naturally. Because there’s a kind of intrinsic musicality to the way moving images work when they’re put together. It’s been said that cinema and music are very close as art forms, and I think that’s true.”
Just the other day the main theme song from Halloween started playing on the radio, and it freaked my kids out to the point that they were in tears. It was sad but kind of funny at the same time.
