It's hard to imagine Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld's hit sitcom "Seinfeld" missing any one of its four lead characters. Jerry (Seinfeld) was the shallow and neurotic one. George (Jason Alexander) was the shallow and neurotic one. Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) was the shallow and neurotic one. And Kramer (Michael Richards) was the shallow and neurotic one with the get-rich-quick schemes. Each of the four actors was nominated for multiple Emmys for their acting work on "Seinfeld," with Seinfeld receiving five noms, Alexander receiving seven, Louis-Dreyfus also receiving seven (and winning one), and Richards netting five and winning three. It couldn't be made today.
Weirdly, the character of Elaine wasn't in the pilot for "Seinfeld," called "The Seinfeld Chronicles". The fourth lead role was originally supposed to be a waitress named Claire, played by actress Lee Garlington, but the restaurant where she worked was re-tooled for the show's second episode,...

Rosie O’Donnell said she was shocked that her rival, Ellen DeGeneres, and her wife, actress Portia de Rossi, left the U.S. in response to President Donald Trump’s reelection.
In January, O’Donnell and her daughter, Clay, moved to Ireland also due to Trump.
“I’m here in Ireland. It’s beautiful and warm,” she said on TikTok. “Not physically. It’s actually quite cold. Moved here on January 15, and it’s been pretty wonderful, I have to say. The people are so loving and so kind, so welcoming. And I’m very grateful. Although I was never someone who thought I would move to another country, that’s what I decided would be the best for myself and my twelve-year-old child. I’m happy. Clay is happy.”
Upon learning of DeGeneres’ move, O’Donnell was shocked. “I’ve never really known Ellen to say anything political in her life,...

Sarah Jessica Parker is preparing for the return of Carrie Bradshaw in Season 3 of And Just Like That, while addressing the long-standing debate surrounding her character’s choices and contradictions. Appearing on Today With Jenna & Friends on April 21, Parker spoke about playing Carrie for nearly three decades and why she continues to embrace the character’s flaws.
“It’s been such a sort of extraordinary experience,” Parker said. “I try to describe it as being contractually obligated to play somebody else — be somebody else — for about 27 years, to behave in ways which would be illegal if I, as a married person with children, ways in which I would behave in the city or with men.”
Over the years, Carrie Bradshaw has attracted both strong support and frequent criticism. Her decisions—romantic, financial, and otherwise—have divided viewers since the original Sex and the City aired on HBO. Parker acknowledged the...

Sarah Jessica Parker knows that her beloved “Sex and the City” and “And Just Like That” character, Carrie Bradshaw, isn’t always the easiest hero to root for. From fumbled romances to ill-advised trysts to heartbreaking fallouts with her friends, the character has made some ill-advised decisions over the years.
Ahead of “And Just Like That” Season 3, the star and executive producer joked that frankly, if she behaved like Carrie did in real life, it would be illegal.
“It’s been such a sort of extraordinary experience,” Parker said on Monday’s “Today With Jenna & Friends” of her appreciation for her best-known character over the years, warts and all. “And I try to describe it as being contractually obligated to play somebody else, be somebody else for about 27 years — to behave in ways which would be illegal if I, as a married person with children — ways in which I...

Comedian Rosie O’Donnell has revealed details about her surprising friendship with Lyle Menendez.
Menendez and his brother, Erik, made headlines when they were convicted of first-degree murder for the 1989 shooting of their parents. In the trial, both brothers alleged that they had been sexually abused by their father. After a mistrial in 1993, the brothers were convicted in 1996 and sentenced to life in prison without parole. They have continued to fight for their freedom, maintaining that they murdered their parents out of fear for their lives.
O’Donnell recently moved to Ireland to escape Donald Trump’s second term as president.
The Menendez brothers became a hot topic again following Ryan Murphy’s Netflix anthology crime drama Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, released in September 2024. While Murphy’s show became a smash hit on the streaming platform, Erik condemned the show for its portrayal of him and his brother as having an incestuous relationship.

Get those cosmos ready, polish up the Manolo Blahniks, and cover sensitive ears around you. And just like that… we have our first look at the third season of the Sex and the City spin-off from HBO and Max, along with a release date — and the good news is that we don't have much longer to wait. Season 3 of And Just Like That officially sashays onto our screens on May 29, bringing back the Manhattan chaos, couture, and complex convos that Carrie Bradshaw and co. made iconic.
The announcement came with a sneak peek at the new season, showing off big changes, bigger emotions, and — of course — plainly ridiculous fashion. It’s the beginning of a new chapter, with Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) returning to her voiceover roots, literally writing a new book and giving audiences a more intimate glimpse into her world than ever before. But my god, look at all the shoes.

“And Just Like That” is missing a certain je n’ais Che quoi.

She’s been a fixture on the daytime talk show since 2007, taking over the seat once filled by Rosie O’Donnell. With her Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony awards, Goldberg brought unmatched star power and a unique voice to the table.
But now, nearly two decades later, questions are swirling: Could Whoopi be the next to step away?
According to reports, contracts for three co-hosts — Goldberg, Joy Behar, and Sunny Hostin — are up for renewal at the end of Season 28. And the buzz around Goldberg’s possible departure has only grown louder.

“She wishes to change her last name / to her birth mother’s maiden name / doesn’t make sense to me, I am not her,” she wrote in her free-verse poem, titled “My child Chelsea.” Rosie also discussed her daughter’s struggles in the public eye, noting that she is doing so well now, “Rain or shine / same name or not / that’s my girl / fierce and determined.”

Courtney Love announced earlier this month that she plans to make the United Kingdom her new home, as the rock icon and actor criticized President Donald Trump and took aim at what his administration is up to back home, referring to the president and his cronies as “emperor-core.”
Love, 60, has lived in London for five years and plans to commit to life in Blighty, she told the crowd on March 4 at an event at the Royal Geographical Society in London. The rocker is applying for British citizenship and should be an official ex-patriot by the end of 2025, Love told the crowd, who applauded the news.
“I’m really glad I’m here,” she said at the event. “It’s so great to live here. I’m finally getting my British citizenship in six months. I get to be a citizen. I’m applying, man! Can’t get rid of me!

After Rosie O’Donnell decided to move to Ireland in response to Donald Trump‘s second election to the presidency, Trump mocked the now-expat in front of the Irish prime minister during an Oval Office visit earlier in the week. So Joy Behar decided to explain exactly what Trump’s longstanding feud with O’Donnell is really about. On Friday’s (March 14) episode of The View, the first “Hot Topic” of the day was to discuss her former cohost’s relocation, and after rolling footage of both O’Donnell’s explanation and Trump’s taunt, Behar joked, “Oh no, he’s going to be mad at Ireland now. Here come the potato tariffs!” Sunny Hostin then asked Behar to explain what it was that first sparked Trump’s hatred for the comedian, noting, “He’s a toddler. His frontal lobe is not really fully developed, in my opinion, and so he probably suffers from that imposter syndrome,...

Ireland’s Prime Minister Micheal Martin appeared a bit perplexed today by a question posed to him during an Oval Office visit with President Donald Trump.
Brian Glenn, chief White House correspondent for Real America’s Voice, a Trump supporting news outlet, asked him “why in the world would you let Rosie O’Donnell move to Ireland? I think she is going to lower your happiness level.”
Trump responded, “Thank you I like that question.”
Martin chuckled but appeared to not quite understand the question or how to respond.
“Do you know who she is?” Trump asked.
Glenn could be heard saying, “I’m joking,” before Trump added, “You are better off not knowing.”

Rosie O’Donnell has revealed that she has moved from the United States to Ireland, where she is applying for citizenship in the wake of President Trump’s second term.
“When you know it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that’s when we will consider coming back,” O’Donnell said in a nine-minute video shared on TikTok. She said she is “very grateful” to have found a new home in Ireland, adding that the “people here are so loving, kind and welcoming.”
While O’Donnell made it obvious her relocation was due to the state of politics in the U.S., the Emmy winner never mentioned President Trump by name. She said of the current state of American politics, “It has been heartbreaking to see what is happening over there politically and hard for me personally as well.”

Rosie O’Donnell has confirmed she has moved from the United States to Ireland, where she is in the process of taking up citizenship.
“The people here are so loving, kind and welcoming. I’m very grateful,” O’Donnell said, while adding she missed the rest of her family and friends back in the U.S. Her news, conveyed during a nine-minute TikTok video, mentioned the challenges of navigating a new country.
At the same time, O’Donnell made it clear crossing the Atlantic to find a new home was prompted by the current U.S. political climate, with Donald Trump recently returning to the White House for the start of his second term. While not naming the U.S. president directly after years of being a critic of his politics, O’Donnell stated: “It has been heartbreaking to see what is happening over there politically and hard for me personally as well.
