- Her stepfather Don Davidson (1925-1990) was a dwarf who stood only 4'2" tall, and who was the longtime traveling secretary for the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves. Nevertheless, she claims he made a tall impression on her when it came to lessons on self-worth.
- Patrika was named one of "TV Guide's Sexiest Stars" in August 1999 for her role on Days of Our Lives (1965).
- Patrika moved to California to pursue an acting career. She met her future husband, Rolf Darbo, at the Burbank Little Theatre while performing in a show. He was the stage manager and she was in the chorus for a production of the musical "Anything Goes." They married two years later.

He first brought attention to it by telling her that her laugh was "infectious". At the end of the show, not buying her act, Johnny remarked: "Well, I hope you're having as much fun as you appear to!".
