Jude Herrera is an American actress who made her onscreen debut starring with Ann-Margret and Kris Kristofferson in the television movie, Blue Rodeo, for director Peter Werner. Herrera portrays a deaf youth in the movie, which is based on the novel by Jo-Ann Mapson. Herrera's performance in a teen-pregnancy-themed play at Los Angeles Theater Center's mainstage under the direction of Kerri Green led to her feature film debut.
Herrera was born and raised in New Mexico by her mother, a beloved kindergarten teacher, and her maternal grandparents. She began training in dance at a very young age and started acting in public school drama club performances and competitions. Passing on a career in science with an NNSA lab in New Mexico, Herrera received her formal acting training in New York City. She graduated from a private performing arts conservatory in Manhattan.
