Gugu Mbatha-Raw is a British actress known for her versatile performances in film, television, and theater. She turns 40 on April 21, 2023. She gained recognition for her breakout role in the 2007 television series "Doctor Who" and has since starred in critically acclaimed movies such as 'Belle', 'Beyond the Lights', and 'Beauty and the Beast', as well as a variety of TV shows, "Black Mirror", "Loki", "The Morning Show", and "MI-5", to name a few.

Her awards include a BAFTA EE Rising Star Award nomination and a British Independent Film Best Actress win for the title role in 'Belle' among other recognition for her work.
