Greg Kwedar's prison drama is an emotional tribute to the theater arts and the impact it can have on people. We're so grateful to be getting another starring role for Colman Domingo, which comes on the heels of his sublime performance in Rustin, a role that earned the actor a well-deserved Oscar nomination. The world premiere at SXSW had the audience in tears and earned a standing ovation for Kwedar, Domingo, and many of the cast attending in person. Clarence Maclin — one of several cast members who participated in the Rehabilitation Through the Arts program in prison — nearly steals the show in his film debut, introducing himself to the world in a star-making performance.
