The March woman finds the recipe for a drink in the "Book of Eternity" that makes the queen insensitive to the forces of the Frosty Prince. It is a test every season. The four ingredients are encrypted. People have to find out what is behind them. So the March woman, June and September woman make their way to the queen and to February, who lives with the queen in the castle during his month. What they don't know: The Frosty Prince has allied himself with February, who has always felt disadvantaged and unloved, and promised him power and fame if he smuggled him into the castle. And so the Frosty Prince in the disguise of the merciful monk Martin comes near Queen Klara and weakens her with his magical powers from day to day. The Frosty Prince is not thrilled when the months with the recipe show up. But he quickly chooses the chef Valentin for the responsible job of procuring the ingredients. Because he is secretly sure: Valentin will fail. The September woman, however, insists that the "chicken girl" accompany Luise Valentin. Together, the unlikely couple go on a dangerous search for the ingredients for the healing potion. With the help of the March woman, June and September woman, Valentin and Luise actually find the first three ingredients: violets, strawberries and an apple. But will February contribute the fourth component, the last flake flight, and thus be able to save Queen Clare and the empire?

By chance he puts on the galoshes of luck and immediately his wish comes true. The simple Johann becomes Prince Ludwig. Although he does not know about the magical power of the galoshes, he tries to approach Aurora as a nobleman. With success. But since Ludwig now has the appearance of a prince, but not the knowledge of the rules of etiquette and rituals of the nobility, he threatens to be exposed. This Hans trades for a scissor-grinder's deprecated spare grindstone as 'dream job', only to dump it in a pit due to its weight. Thus he arrives at sea, penniless, at the same time as Elisabeth, the handsome, commercially gifted daughter of greedy merchant Knudsen, who had mixed feelings about his hedonistic welcoming of financially bad deals, ending up thanking God for his 'freedom'.

So she accompanies him into his subterranean labyrinth, where Hans Geiz has collected tons of junk. First he leads her into a room full of copper dishes and tells her to clean everything up. But the water is lazy and the work can hardly be done. Alone in the room, a man unexpectedly appears to her who promises to help her clean if she will marry him in return. In a community of convenience, the two team up with the aim of one day leaving the underworld. Next, Anna Barbara is supposed to polish a chamber full of silverware. She also manages this task together with the cleaning man. Finally, Hans Geiz leads Anna Barbara into a chamber of innumerable gold coins, which is also said to contain the golden thaler. Anna Barbara busily cleans the thalers with the cleaning man and can't find the golden one. Finally she discovers it in a chunk of bread and believes she has reached her destination. But she overlooked the fact that the cleaning man was completely exhausted. Now, when she threatens to lose her boyfriend, she admits her love. Then the thaler crumbles to dust and the cleaning man turns back into the boy Stefan. Anna Barbara returns to the village with her sweetheart Stefan. She makes it clear to the residents that the taler was a curse and a blessing at the same time, because the wealth it had given them cooled their care and love and made them lame and lazy. Hans Avarice is left alone with his junk.

Helene wanders off and disgusted by Gertrud and moves in with an old goat herd, who prospers with her self-reliant help, and gets famous enough as seamstress to be recruited for Josephine's wedding dress. Lassman spots her and goes for love.
