Hallelujah for Sela. Everyone's favorite "Sister" was born Sela Ann Ward, on July 11, 1956, in Meridian, Mississippi. Sela's parents were Annie Kate (Boswell) and Granberry Holland Ward, Jr., an electrical engineer; the three younger children in the family are Jenna (1957), Berry (1959) and Brock (1961). "Sela" is a Hebrew word that means "rock, boulder, cliff". Sela graduated from the University of Alabama in 1977, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in art and advertising; Sela was also a cheerleader for the Crimson Tide football team, a Homecoming Queen and a member of the Chi Omega sorority. Sela moved to New York to work for an advertising agency.
Responding to a friend's suggestion that she was tall (5' 7") and pretty enough to try modeling, Sela began a highly successful career with the Wilhelmina Agency. Sela's first gig was in the Pepsi advertising department, and her first commercial was for Maybelline. After appearing in 20 national television commercials, Sela moved to Los Angeles and got her first television role in Emerald Point N.A.S. (1983); she dated tall co-star Richard Dean Anderson for three years (which is much longer than the television series lasted). Sela's movie break came by appearing with Burt Reynolds in the film The Man Who Loved Women (1983), and by now her acting career was established.
But perhaps Sela is best known for starring in the television series Sisters (1991), which ran for six seasons. The series was a big hit with women, and if the males in the audience stuck around after the steamy (literally) opening sauna sequence, they too would discover a series with fascinating writing and story plots, with Sela as Teddy Reed -- in the fashion industry she began her first company, which she wanted to call Teddy Wear. In 1992 and 1994, Sela got the Golden Globe Award nomination for best lead actress in a drama series; in 1994, she won an Emmy Award and, in 1996, the Screen Actors Guild Award.
During the series' run, Sela married Howard Sherman (May 23, 1992 - present). They had two children: Austin Ward (May 13, 1994), Anabella Raye (May 30, 1998). Still very much a pretty woman, Sela appeared in Runaway Bride (1999) as Pretty Bar Woman. In 2000, Sela won her second Emmy Award, this time for her work in Once and Again (1999).- Paige Turco was born in Boston, Massachusetts on May 17, 1965. She was forced to re-evaluate her career decision and focused on drama and musical comedies instead. Paige graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in drama.
She landed her first soap opera part in 1987 in CBS's Guiding Light (1952), as a troubled teenager who is adopted by a wealthy woman. The following year she transferred to ABC's All My Children (1970), where she played Melanie Cortlant. The series was canceled after only one season. She met and fell in love with John Mese on the show and the couple got engaged shortly after it ended. She and Mese went on to work alongside each other in Dark Tides (1998) and R2PC: Road to Park City (2000) before the couple called off their engagement in 2001 and went their separate ways. Paige starred in many independent films, including Urbania (2000), Astoria (2000), Runaway Virus (2000) and The Pompatus of Love (1995) and had a few guest appearances in such television series as NYPD Blue (1993), Party of Five (1994), The Fugitive (2000) and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999) before landing a lead role in Wolfgang Petersen's and Shaun Cassidy's series The Agency (2005). Chelsea Field is an American actress from Glendale, California. Her first major role in film was playing the warrior woman Teela in the cult superhero film "Masters of the Universe" (1987). The film was the first live-action adaptation of the " sword and planet" media franchise "Masters of the Universe" by Mattel, though its script reportedly drew inspiration from Jack Kirby's "Fourth World" comic book franchise. Later in her career, Field had the recurring role of assistant district attorney Rita Deveraux in the police procedural series "NCIS: New Orleans" (2014-2021). Her character was introduced in the series' 3rd season and kept appearing until its 7th and last season. Rita was the long-term girlfriend of the protagonist Dwayne Cassius Pride (played by Scott Bakula), and eventually married Dwayne.
Field's early film appearances included the horror films "Prison" (1987) and "Death Spa" (1989). Both films involved vengeful spirits who tormented both those who harmed them in life, and bystanders who happened to be in the vicinity of the intended victims. Field's first major television role was that of student nurse Samantha "Sam" Sullivan in the medical drama "Nightingales" (1989). The series was considered controversial at the time for focusing on the sex lives of student nurses, and caused protests by the American Nurses Association. The series was canceled after only 13 episodes, as the show's sponsors withdrew their funding. The series was later rebooted as "University Hospital" (1995), but Field was not involved in the reboot.
Field's next regular television role was that of the reporter Cassy Swann in "Capital News" (1990). The series focused on the staff of the fictional newspaper Washington Capital (a fictionalized depiction of the Washington Post). The series only lasted for a single season and 12 episodes. The series was broadcast in its entirety in several European countries, but only 3 of its episodes were ever broadcast in the United States.
Field played the motorcycle cop Virginia Slim in the neo-Western film "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man" (1991). The character was the ex-lover and main love interest for modern-day outlaw Robert Lee "Marlboro Man" Edison (played by Don Johnson). The film focused on bank robbers who targeted the armored cars of a specific bank, only to unwittingly discover that the bank was a front for a criminal organizations which manufactured and distributed experimental drugs. Their attempt to profit from their discovery led to a violent conflict.
Field played Sarah Hallenbeck in the action comedy "The Last Boy Scout" (1991). The character was depicted as the unfaithful wife of private investigator Joseph Cornelius "Joe" Hallenbeck (played by Bruce Willis), though the couple reconciled by the end of the film. In the film, Joe finds himself suspected of involvement in the murders of both his own business partner and the female client which Joe was tasked with protecting. While trying to clear his name, Joe discovers that he is about to be framed for the assassination of a corrupt U.S. senator. The senator happens to be an old personal enemy of Joe, but Joe finds himself obligated to prevent the assassination.
Field played Wendy Robinson, the female lead in the horror film "Dust Devils" (1992). In the film, Wendy travels in the deserts of Namibia, trying to escape her angry husband. She picks up a mysterious hitchhiker, who turns out to be a shape-shifting wind demon who was fleeing from the local authorities. After traveling together for a while, the demon turns against Wendy and she kills him. By the end of the film, Wendy is suspected to be the demon's latest host body. The film was shot entirely on location in Namibia, and was based on South African folklore about the supposed supernatural powers of the serial killer Nhadiep.
Field played the detective sergeant Peckham in the psychological thriller "Snapdragon" (1993). In the film, Peckham is trying to solve two recent murders and to determine whether the amnesiac woman Felicity (played by Pamela Anderson) is connected to the case. Felicity is unaware of her own identity, but has recurring nightmares of killing her lovers. The film is primary remembered as Anderson's feature film debut.
Field played the lead character of Rae Dawn Snow in the short-lived drama series "Angel Falls" (1993). In the series, single mother Snow moves back to her hometown with her adolescent son, after inheriting a pool hall from her recently deceased father. She starts an affair with the married rancher Eli Harrison (played by Brian Kerwin) , who was also her past lover. Snow's son starts an ill-advised romantic relationship with the promiscuous girl Brandi Dare (played by Marley Shelton ). The series only lasted for 6 episodes.
Field played Thalice Whitney in the comedy-drama film "Andre" (1994). The film centered on the Whitney family's struggle to protect their seal cub from local fishermen, while also dealing with the feelings of alienation of their adolescent daughter Paula Whitney (played by Aidan Pendleton). The film dramatized the early life of the famed harbor seal Andre the Seal (1961-1986), who had spend his entire life attached to human companions. The film cast a sea lion in the role of the seal.
Field played the role of the murder victim Karen Christianson in the thriller film "Wicked" (1998). In the film, Karen was trapped in an unhappy marriage with a workaholic, and had a difficult relationship with her adolescent daughter Ellie Christianson (played by Julia Stiles). During an intense argument over Ellie's excessive make-up, Ellie killed Karen in a fit of rage. Ellie proceeded to mostly replace Karen and to develop an unhealthy relationship with her own father. Ellie is eventually killed by her own sister Inger Christianson (played by Vanessa Zima) in a copycat murder. The implication being that both sisters had the same murderous tendencies.
Field was reduced to relatively minor supporting roles in the thriller film "The Unsaid" (2001) and the mystery film "Sleeping Dogs Lie" (2005), which were her first film roles after several years. In 2009, Field married her long-time boyfriend Scott Bakula, a fellow actor. The couple had been romantically involved since 1994, and they had two children.
By the early 2020s, Field primarily worked in television roles. Her role in "NCIS: New Orleans" was her only recurring role in recent years. Field remains a well-known face to fans of horror and thriller films, but she has not had any leading roles in the last couple of decades.- Actress

Dora Madison was two weeks away from attending college when she landed her breakout role on NBC's Friday Night Lights. Her portrayal of "Becky Sproles," an optimistic pageant girl from a broken home, endeared both critics and fans alike. Dora's tenure on the Emmy-nominated series opened doors for additional recurring arcs on Freeform's The Lying Game, CW's Starcrossed, and Showtime's Dexter.
Soon after, Dora returned to NBC as a guest star on Chicago PD, playing criminal informant "Jelly Bean." Showrunner Matt Olmstead was so impressed with her grounded performance that he cast her in his sister series Chicago Fire as "Jessica 'Chili' Chilton," a series regular role that was written specifically with Dora in mind. Her polarizing performance gripped audiences as they watched Dora's seasoned and troubled paramedic, who longed to find family in Firehouse 51, succumb to alcohol addiction.
After her time on Chicago, Dora next tried her hand at comedy, where she starred in Viceland's first scripted series What Would Diplo Do?. She played "Karen," a sarcastic over-educated personal assistant opposite James Van Der Beek's hyper-realized version of Diplo.
In addition to her extensive television career, Dora has also appeared in numerous feature films, playing an array of diverse characters. She has had the privilege of collaborating with iconic filmmakers Terrence Malick and Richard Linklater, while also making a name for herself in the horror space; a genre that she has been a lifelong super-fan of. Likeminded horror fans will recognize her in Eduardo Sanchez's found-footage Bigfoot film, Exits, the Blumhouse series Into the Dark, a trilogy of features from director Joe Begos (Bliss, VFW, and Christmas Bloody Christmas), as well as the feminist genre festival favorite Alone With You. The physical demands of the horror and action film genres excites Dora and has inspired her love of performing stunt and fight choreography.
Dora took a brief hiatus over the last few years when her daughter was born, but has recently made a return to the big screen in the coming-of-age queer comedy Big Boys, which has already snagged 10 audience awards (and counting) from the 2023 festival season.- Actress

A self-confessed tomboy and "daredevil", Ashley loved to try to keep up with her older brother Joe, taking on activities such as taekwondo and winning several awards. Ashley says she was not allowed to spar the girls in taekwondo class because she "beat the girls up". She even accidentally once gave a boy she liked a bloody nose and lip while sparring. Ashley admits she is a "competitive little sucker".
During her early teen years, Ashley found herself hanging out with older girls, which impacted her self-esteem when she found them to be more mature and, in her mind, prettier than she was. Ashley describes herself as a "hot mess" as a teenager. Ashley's mother put her into modeling classes to improve her confidence, and Ashley began to consider becoming a model as a career. After being told she was too short to be a model, Ashley considered becoming a lawyer and getting a degree in psychology. She actually convinced her parents to let her leave her private school to attend a public one which had a law and psychology program. However, after taking a commercial class, which led to acting class, Ashley knew what she wanted to do - acting.
Luckily for Ashley, her parents were supportive and allowed her to move to LA at seventeen years of age. Due to her excellent grades and extra credits, she was able to graduate high school early to follow her acting dream.
For three years, Ashley struggled to find acting roles. She picked up small roles here and there in TV shows such as Punk'd (2003) and Crossing Jordan (2001), and some very small film roles in Shrink (2009) and King of California (2007).
Ashley's big break came when she got to audition for the film, Twilight (2008), based on Stephenie Meyer's popular book series. She originally auditioned for "Bella", but, as she says herself, "I was no Bella". She was called back to audition for the role of "Alice Cullen". After a long auditioning process, Ashley was finally told she got the part.
Ashley had previously worked in restaurants but, like the rest of her fellow "Twilight" cast-mates, Ashley found herself suddenly thrust into the limelight. Though she says she doesn't get the same kind of insanity as the boys - especially Robert Pattinson. She says most fans relate to her on a "best friend" level rather than screaming at her hysterically.
Ashley has already begun filming other roles and has high hopes for her career outside of the "Twilight" franchise. She has said she wants to be a superhero, a Bond girl and possibly Wonder Woman in future projects.- Actress
