L.L. Cool J was born James Todd Smith in Bay Shore, Long Island, New York, the son of Ondrea Griffith and James Louis Smith, Jr.
Todd, as he was called, did not have a very happy childhood. At the age of four, he saw his mother and grandfather shot by his own father. After they recovered from their injuries, his mother began to date a young physical therapist she met while in the hospital. The therapist treated Ondrea kindly, but for years he abused Todd physically and verbally, which resulted in Todd becoming a bully himself. It was during this period that he started wearing hats all the time (one of L.L. Cool J's trademarks is the fact that people never see him without a hat on--until recently). Fortunately, Ondrea finally discovered what this man was doing to her son and left him.
As he grew older, Todd found a way to escape the effects of his abuse and his bullying attitude: hip-hop music. He fell in love with it at the age of nine, and by 11 he was writing lyrics and making his own songs with some DJ equipment his grandfather gave him. At 15, he and one of his best friends came up with his present stage name, L.L. Cool J, which means "Ladies Love Cool James."
In 1984, when L.L. was 16, he met Rick Rubin, a student at NYU, who gave him his big break in music. Rick really liked L.L.'s music and decided to try to get him a record deal. Together, they made the single "I Need a Beat" and sent it to an artist manager named Russell Simmons. Simmons loved the single, and, in the same year, Rick and Russell co-founded the famous Def Jam Recordings; L.L.'s debut album, "Radio," released in 1985, after securing a distribution deal for Def Jam with Columbia/CBS Records, was the label's first long-playing release. Even today, L.L. is considered one of Def Jam's most prized possessions.
1985 was also the year L.L. started his acting career. He first appeared in Krush Groove (1985), which is a semi-biographical account of the early days of Def Jam Recordings. L.L. had a cameo appearance in the film. In 1986, L.L. also had a cameo appearance in the movie Wildcats (1986) and also wrote that movie's theme song. After that, L.L. took a break from film and concentrated more on his first love: music. His career took off, and after every one of his albums hit platinum-selling status, he was (and still is) regarded as one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time.
After a few years, he had small roles in a few other films, but was still better known for his music. All this changed in 1995. By this time he was a happily married 27-year-old with three children. His first starring film, Out-of-Sync (1995), had also been released. It didn't do very well at the box office, but it got him noticed by executives at NBC-TV, who wanted to give him a part in a sitcom they were going to air. This sitcom was In the House (1995), which showed L.L.'s acting ability; the show stayed on the air until 1999.
He had been offered several films roles during the run of the show and decided to accept a part in Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998). Its success resulted in L.L. being cast in bigger and better film roles, and he has acted alongside such stars as Whoopi Goldberg, Samuel L. Jackson, Jamie Lee Curtis, James Woods, Al Pacino, Omar Epps, Pam Grier, Stanley Tucci, and Dennis Quaid, to name a few.
In 2000, he was finally rewarded for his acting talent. That year he won a Blockbuster Entertainment Award for the best supporting actor in the action film Deep Blue Sea (1999). Even though his film career has taken off, he hasn't forgotten his love of hip-hop music. In 1998, he was planning to retire from hip-hop and just concentrate on his film career, but he later decided to keep dividing his time between both fields. L.L. is not only known as one of the greatest MCs of all time, but he is also known as a great actor.- Actress

Ciera Payton is a multi-talented actress, philanthropist, writer, educator, and entrepreneur.
Becoming
Ciera Payton grew up surrounded by street performers, artists, and the amazing cuisine found only in the vibrant city of New Orleans. She didn't know it at the time, but she was using art as a coping mechanism to deal with challenging aspects of her home life. Her natural inclination toward storytelling, creative writing, performing, and filmmaking would go on to become her life's calling.
Blooming
After Hurricane Katrina, Ciera and her family relocated to North Carolina, where she graduated with a BFA from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. While at UNCSA, she landed her first role as the female lead opposite Steven Seagal in the action feature Flight of Fury. Since her breakout role, she has shared the screen with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Nicolas Cage, Kevin Hart, Josh Brolin, and many other acclaimed artists.
Acting
Ciera has also appeared in AMC's The Walking Dead, USA Network's Graceland, Spike Lee's Oldboy, and First, a web series acquired by the Issa Rae Network. Ciera stars in Tyler Perry's The Oval as Lilly Winthrop, fashion designer and wife to the chief of staff. The 22 episode series came on the heels of Ciera's breakout performance as Sylvia in A Madea Family Funeral. You can also find Ciera in the second season of Spike Lee's She's Gotta Have It and in Amazon's supernatural thriller The Manor.
Ciera has also showcased her talent for bringing real people to life in Lifetime's biopic Wendy Williams: The Movie. Williams' superfans campaigned on social media to cast her as the larger-than-life celebrity. And indeed, her raw portrayal of the infamous talk show host did not disappoint.
Serving
Ciera went on to compile her life experiences into a one-woman show called Michael's Daughter. As a performer and teaching artist, Ciera learned she was far from alone in her complicated experiences. She created the Michael's Daughter Project as an outlet for family members of the incarcerated to heal and be heard.
The Michael's Daughter programs, services, and charities thrived along with the community members they served. Ciera has since founded The Michael's Daughter Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization where she serves as president.
Inspiring
One of Ciera's ultimate goals is to inspire others to live their best lives and thrive regardless of personal circumstances. In addition to reaching others through her acting and foundation, she runs a lifestyle website called The In Trive - The Inspired Thriving Tribe. Here Ciera and her contributing writers share uplifting personal stories and tips on wellness, fashion, beauty, and more.
Thriving
When she's not showcasing her authenticity on-screen or helping others step into their light, you can find Ciera discovering new plant-based recipes & restaurants, practicing meditation, dancing it out at (small) gatherings, or peacefully hiking the nature trails of California.
Ciera's fun and sophisticated persona continues to help this beautiful powerhouse rise to the top of the entertainment industry as an actor, writer, producer, and creator. She shines on and off-screen and embodies her goals of aspiring to inspire and uplift others.- Ksenia Lavrentieva is a British actress, voice-over artist and TV personality of Eurasian descent. Known for her numerous appearances on British/US television, as well as having played Nadia Dansky on HBO's Strike Back. Born in the former communist state of Georgia, Tbilisi, to a renowned dissident Georgian artist and one of Russia's revered actresses. Her first years were spent in Taganrog Bay a port city in Rostov on the shores of the Azov Sea - southern Russia. The separation of her parents prompted a move to Moscow with her mother, followed by an unsettlingly candid immersion in the confused, though highly creative atmosphere that pervaded in the Russian capital at the time. A few years later, the newly re-composed Lavrentieva family moved to London. When asked about this period in her life, Ksenia only refers to it as a time where "we pretty much existed upon the fringes, moving regularly and rarely settling in one place". However, she does admit that whilst it was a time of constant upheaval, it perhaps also represents, in many ways, a time from which she now draws a great deal of inspiration. Ksenia has worked and traveled on both sides of the Atlantic in film, television and commercials, working with creatives as diverse as David Cronenberg to Dr. Dre.

Hafsia Herzi , born in Manosque, is a French actress and director. She grew up in Marseille.
Hafsia Herzi, of Tunisian origin by her father and Algerian by her mother, is the youngest of a family of four children (two brothers and a sister, Dalila).
In 2019, she released her first feature film as a director, You deserve a love , followed by Bonne Mère two years later.
Hafsia Herzi was only 13 years old when she landed a role, albeit a minor one, in Notes sur le rire, a TV movie for France 3 adapted from the novel by Marcel Pagnol. She followed this up with a few extra roles, and auditioned for the series Plus belle la vie and Sous le soleil; trials at the end of which she was not selected.
It was in 2005 that her luck changed for the young actress: her meeting with Abdellatif Kechiche proved decisive, as he offered her the lead role in La Graine et le mulet, in which she brilliantly and sincerely played the character of Rym. A first try, a master stroke: Hafsia Herzi won the Marcello Mastroianni Prize at the 64th Venice Film Festival in 2007, and the César for the Best Female Hopeful (meilleur espoir féminin) in early 2008.
Having never taken acting classes, she left Marseille and moved to Paris, where she enrolled in law at the university, took acting classes at the conservatory and even took diction classes to soften her Mediterranean accent. She decided to devote herself exclusively to the cinema, and quickly obtained the main roles in Française and L'Aube du monde, for which she learned Iraqi. In 2009, she plays under the direction of Francis Huster in Un homme et son chien, alongside Jean-Paul Belmondo before sharing the star with Jacques Dutronc for the fourth film of Xavier De Choudens: Joseph et la fille.
The year 2011 seems to be the year of consecration for the young actress because we find it in the poster of four films and not least: Jimmy Rivière's Teddy Lussi-Modeste, Le Chat du rabbin where she lends himself to the exercise of dubbing, L' Apollonide - souvenirs de la maison - close de Bertrand Bonello et La Source des femmes by Radu Mihaileanu, alongside the much sought after Leïla Bekhti. In Hiam Abbass' Héritage, the actress plays the rebellious Hajar, the youngest daughter of the Arab family at the center of the film.
More and more present on the screens, Hafsia Herzi multiplies projects and her roles gain importance, like her performances in Fugues marocaines, Le Sac de farine, Certifiée halal or Sex Doll. She also collaborates again with Abdellatif Kechiche on the two controversial Mektoub, my love. The actress also tastes the joys of the thriller via Persona non grata by Roschdy Zem, in which she gives the line to Nicolas Duvauchelle and Raphael Personnaz.
In 2019, the actress directs her first feature film, Tu mérites un amour, in which she also plays the lead role.- Vladimir Garin was born on 25 January 1987 in Leningrad, RSFSR, USSR [now St. Petersburg, Russia].
