- DirectorLokesh KanagarajStarsJoseph VijayVijay SethupathiMalavika MohananAn alcoholic professor is sent to a juvenile school, where he clashes with a gangster who uses the school children for criminal activities.Did not live up to its hype. This movie actually made me angry. The story was a mess, I didn't feel any emotional attachment, and it was draggy in some places and rushed in others.
- DirectorSuseenthiranStarsSilambarasan RajendarBharathirajaNidhhi AgerwalEeswaran tells the story of Periyasamy whose simple and joyous life turns into a nightmare with internal familial disputes.Mix of all possible village story clichés. The only interesting thing was them adding the pandemic into the storyline.
- DirectorTeng ChengLi WeiStarsGuanlin JiGuangtao JiangLu LiBanished to the mortal world, a warrior has to slay a demon to return to the heavenly realm and become a god.Beautiful animation but the story was lacking a bit (esp compared to Nezha).
- DirectorKarthik SubbarajStarsSiddharthBobby SimhaLakshmi MenonAn aspiring director targets a ruthless gangster because he wants to make a violent gangster film. His discreet attempts to research the gangster fail miserably. Finally when he gets caught snooping, things hit the fan.Unpredictable story with great character development. Hilarious but also very moving and had great direction/cinematography. Easily one of my favourite Tamil movies I've seen.
- DirectorTaika WaititiStarsChris HemsworthTom HiddlestonCate BlanchettImprisoned on the planet Sakaar, Thor must race against time to return to Asgard and stop Ragnarök, the destruction of his world, at the hands of the powerful and ruthless villain Hela.Hilariously good. (Start of my superhero binge)

With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers assemble once more in order to reverse Thanos' actions and restore balance to the universe.Re-watched
- CreatorJac SchaefferStarsElizabeth OlsenPaul BettanyKathryn HahnBlends the style of classic sitcoms with the MCU, in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision - two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives - begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.Story layout and progression was so clever! Emotionally, I was extremely invested in this.
- DirectorAdrian ShergoldStarsSally HawkinsAlice KrigeAnthony HeadAnne was in love with Frederick, who was rejected by her snobby parents 8 years ago. They've now hit hard times and rent out their mansion to his brother-in-law. He returns a Royal Navy captain. Will he remember Anne?Re-watched (hadn't realized I've watched it before until half way through...which is testament to how forgettable this movie was). I did not like any of the characters (esp the female lead). (Start of my period drama binge)
- DirectorGreta GerwigStarsSaoirse RonanEmma WatsonFlorence PughJo March reflects back and forth on her life, telling the beloved story of the March sisters - four young women, each determined to live life on her own terms.Didn't like the characters but the story and production made it interesting enough for me to finish it.
- StarsRomola GaraiMichael GambonJonny Lee MillerEmma Woodhouse, a wealthy young woman living in the early 19th century, whose misplaced confidence in her matchmaking abilities occasions several romantic misadventures, which leads her into deeper meanings of love and lifeRe-watched (for Mr. Knightley). Really did not like Emma's character even till the end.
- DirectorRakesh RoshanStarsRakhee GulzarSalman KhanShah Rukh KhanKaran and Arjun reincarnate in the different parts of the country. But the faith of their previous mother brings them together in order to avenge their death.A bit too melodramatic/familial sentiment for me even though I liked the concept of the reincarnation.
- DirectorVikram K. KumarStarsAkkineni Nageswara RaoNagarjuna AkkineniNaga Chaitanya AkkineniThrough reincarnation, family members are able to cross generations and meddle in each others' lives.Re-watched (apparently I watched this years ago with my sister but couldn't remember at all??). Very interesting reincarnation concept but I did not like Chaitanya x Samantha's storyline at all.
- CreatorRachael NewStarsKate PhillipsStuart MartinCathy BeltonWhen Eliza Scarlet's father dies, he leaves her penniless, but she resolves to continue his detective agency. To operate in a male-dominated world, though, she needs a partner - step forward a detective known as the Duke.Great chemistry between the leads and the production quality was great. Had a dark Sherlock Holmes vibe to it (but with a strong female lead!). Looking forward to season 2.
- DirectorAutumn de WildeStarsAnya Taylor-JoyJohnny FlynnMia GothIn 1800s England, a well meaning but selfish young woman meddles in the love lives of her friends. Was hoping this would be better than the miniseries. In some parts it definitely was (the ending was better in this one). But for the most part it was the exact same (maybe bc I just watched the other one I remembered all the dialogues which were obviously the same).
- DirectorZack SnyderStarsHenry CavillBen AffleckGal GadotDetermined to ensure that Superman's ultimate sacrifice wasn't in vain, Bruce Wayne recruits a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions.Great action and character introductions. The music and OST was phenomenal and contributed greatly to make each fight/sacrifice so emotional. I enjoyed this immensely even though it was 4 hours long. I would even watch it again.
- DirectorKuang-Hui LiuStarsEdward ChenJing-Hua TsengLeon DaiIn 1987, as martial law ends in Taiwan, Jia-han and Birdy fall in love amid family pressure, homophobia and social stigma.A heart wrenching and bittersweet story. Loved it.
- DirectorJingming GuoStarsMark ChaoAllen DengZiwen WangQing Ming, the Yin-Yang Master, took his master's last wish and went to the Captial Tiandu City to attend the heaven ceremony.Great action and CGI. The story seemed a bit slow at first but made up for it with the little reveals later on in the story (also with some nice character development and emotional scenes) and great last fight battle.
- DirectorDerek TsangStarsDongyu ZhouJackson YeeFang YinWhile she copes the the pressures of her final examinations, a bullied teenage girl forms an unlikely friendship with a mysterious young man who protects her from her assailants.Such a beautiful bittersweet story. It definitely deserved the Oscar nomination.
- DirectorSung-hee JoStarsSong Joong-kiKim Tae-riJin Seon-kyuSet in the year 2092 and follows the crew of a space junk collector ship called The Victory. When they discover a humanoid robot named Dorothy that's known to be a weapon of mass destruction, they get involved in a risky business deal.Production value and CGI were super impressive! The story overall wasn't anything new but I still enjoyed it.
- CreatorNoah HawleyStarsDan StevensRachel KellerAubrey PlazaDavid Haller is a troubled young man diagnosed as schizophrenic, but after a strange encounter he discovers special powers that will change his life forever. The direction, editing and story are great. But I'm not a huge fan of psychological shows and this was full of psychedelic mindfuckery that it made me uncomfortable at times (literally gave me a headache). But I really want to know what happens next (I esp want to see Charles come up) so I will continue onto season 2!
- DirectorAdam WingardStarsAlexander SkarsgårdMillie Bobby BrownRebecca HallThe epic next chapter in the cinematic Monsterverse pits two of the greatest icons in motion picture history against each other--the fearsome Godzilla and the mighty Kong--with humanity caught in the balance.A fun monster action film. Very little logic but great CGI and cinematography.
- DirectorRob LettermanStarsRyan ReynoldsJustice SmithKathryn NewtonIn a world where people collect Pokémon to do battle, a boy comes across an intelligent talking Pikachu who seeks to be a detective.I enjoyed this more that I thought I would! Though it had a simple and predictable storyline
it was still very nostalgic and fun to watch. Loved Ryan as Pickachu. He was hilarious.
