Potential actresses for "Supergirl" TV Show
With Laura Vandervoort coming out to have a brief talk about the potential "Supergirl" show, I thought it would be fun to do a little bit of fancasting. Here are some actress I would like or wouldn't mind seeing take over as Kara with her potentially being added to the every growing DC Cinematic Universe. As always when I do my "fancasting" these picks will not be in order of who is more suitable, just in the order in which they pop into my head.

Heard resides in Los Angeles, where she is actively involved with Amnesty International. In 2015, she married actor Johnny Depp, and the two divorced in 2017.Amber has been on a steady incline over the past few years, even though she does a lot more film than television roles. She has been known to dabble in the ever growing television market. She has had roles in "Criminal Minds", "Californication" and "Playboy Club" so she has some television pedigree, however I still think she is perfect for the role of Kara.- Actress

Yvonne Jaqueline Strzechowski was born and raised in Australia. Her parents were Polish immigrants. She attended the Santa Sabina College for her high school education. She then went on to study Performance at the University of Western Sydney's School of Contemporary Arts, graduating in 2003. Shortly afterwards, she landed her first role on television in an episode of Fear Factory (2004). Her next role was also on Australian television, appearing in several episodes of Headland (2005). In 2007, she made her big screen debut in Gone (2006). This performance caught the attention of casting directors in Hollywood. She decided to move from Australia to Los Angeles and, on her third day of arrival, she landed her breakthrough role as "Sarah Walker" in Chuck (2007).Opposed to what I said about Amber, Yvonne is well versed in the television world, she had big roles in "Heartland", "Chuck" and most recently "24: Live Another Day". Plus she is mainly here because she rocks! I mean there has been talk for years about her playing Supergirl or even Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers or ANY other strong female superhero since her days as Sarah on "Chuck". She may be a bit old for the role considering they are going for a younger woman, however, she just fits the bill and I think most would agree.- Laura Haddock was born on 21 August 1985 in England, UK. She is an actress, known for Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Transformers: The Last Knight (2017) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017). She was previously married to Sam Claflin.Laura is a current favourite of mine, in recent years she has been very versatile in her acting from Comedy in "How No To Live Your Life" to all out Drama in "Da Vinci's Demons". It would be weird seeing her make the switch to DC already having two different Marvel roles under her belt, however her work in "Da Vinci's Demons" really showcases her acting ability, plus being a Brit would be great to see another one of us playing a superhero ha.

Lyndsy is also the older sister of Hannah Leigh, who is following in her footsteps.Lyndsy is well versed in the same way that Laura Haddock is she has jumped across many genres, mostly known for her work in "Kick-Ass" films and playing Alex in CW's "Nikita", which lends to her ability to pull of good fight scenes and execute some well acted scenes.- Actress

When she was in the fourth grade, she won a contest for a Christmas card in 1999, when she was 10. Lately, Alyson is interested in fashion and sewing, and has plans to design a clothing line. The Torrance, California, native has two dogs, Saint and Bandit, and lives with her parents and sister in Los Angeles, California.Michalka may not even be a possibility due her recent joining of CW's upcoming show "iZombie", however is that is cancelled or doesn't work out, then she is pretty close to perfect for the role she played a great role in the short lived "Hellcats" Drama a couple of years ago. So if they were to go younger not long out of High School Aly would be high up my list.- Actress

Hayden Lesley Panettiere was born on August 21, 1989 in Palisades, New York, to actress Lesley Vogel and fire department captain Skip Panettiere. Her younger brother was actor Jansen Panettiere (1994-2023). Her parents are both of half Italian descent, along with German and English. Her mother got her started in the business by doing commercials when she was just 11 months old. Then, at only 4 1/2, she was cast on the soap opera One Life to Live (1968), where she remained until 1997. Since then, she has gone on to appear in many feature films and TV movies. But she is probably best known in the United States for her role as "Claire" on the hit TV show, Heroes (2006).
As for movies, Hayden starred in Remember the Titans (2000) with Denzel Washington and Joe Somebody (2001) with Tim Allen. When Hayden isn't working, she enjoys singing, dancing, horseback riding, gymnastics, taking piano lessons, and swimming.
She has been involved with many animated movies, beginning with A Bug's Life (1998) as "Dot", later to follow was Dinosaur (2000), the video game Kingdom Hearts (2002), and The Mark of Kri (2002). Her next movie is Racing Stripes (2005), a partly animated film, but Hayden will star in the human role; other cast members include the voices of Whoopi Goldberg, Dustin Hoffman, Joshua Jackson and Mandy Moore.
In 2003, she joined the likes of Jessica Lange, Tom Wilkinson and Clancy Brown in Jane Anderson's Normal (2003), a film about a Midwestern husband and father who announces his plans to have a sex-change operation. In July of the same year, Hayden appeared in a John Guare play, "Landscape of the Body", for the Williamstown theater festival in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Is Supergirl that dissimilar to Claire from "Heroes" really? Well I know she is, just saying Panettiere is has done a very similar role, one that really helped propel her into the A-lister she is right now. She has all the talented need, she looks the same age as she did in "Hereos", she has a dedicated fanbase and she is pretty perfect for the role.- Actress

Nicola Peltz is emerging as a force to be reckoned with, on both the big and small screen. Her most prominent roles include the series Bates Motel (2013), and the films The Last Airbender (2010) and Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014).
Nicola was born in Westchester County, New York, to Claudia (Heffner), who has worked as a model, and Nelson Peltz, a billionaire businessman whose assets include the Snapple brand of drinks. Nicola is of Ashkenazi Jewish (from her father) and Italian and German-British (from her mother) heritage. She made her stage debut in 2007, opposite Jeff Daniels and Alison Pill, in the Laurence Olivier Award-winning production of "Blackbird", at the Manhattan Theatre Club, directed by Joe Mantello. In 2012, she starred, alongside Melanie Lynskey and Campbell Scott, in Eye of the Hurricane (2012), a compelling family adventure about a small Everglades community struggling to put their lives back together in the wake of a devastating hurricane. In 2010, Peltz starred in M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender (2010), opposite Dev Patel and Jackson Rathbone. The film was written, directed and produced by Shyamalan and was based on the first season of Nickelodeon's animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender (2005). Peltz made her feature film debut in 2006 in Deck the Halls (2006), with Danny DeVito, Matthew Broderick and Kristin Chenoweth.
In Michael Bay's Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014), Peltz stars alongside Mark Wahlberg and Jack Reynor. She plays Tessa Yeager, the daughter of a mechanic (Wahlberg) who makes a major discovery that catches the attention of the Autobots, Decepticons, and the U.S. government. The film is the fourth in the blockbuster series of live-action films, and is scheduled for release by Paramount on June 27th.
Later in the summer, Peltz also starred in Kevin Asch's Affluenza (2014), which received a limited release in July. Also featuring Ben Rosenfield and Gregg Sulkin, the film is a coming-of-age story, inspired by "The Great Gatsby," and set among the upper-class in the Long Island suburb of Great Neck during the weeks leading up to the financial meltdown of 2008.
On the small screen, Peltz reprised her role as "Bradley Martin," a troubled high school student, in the second season of A&E's critically-acclaimed series, Bates Motel (2013). The series is a modern re-imagining and prequel to the 1960 Alfred Hitchcock cult classic, Psycho (1960), which focuses on the life of "Norman Bates" and his mother, "Norma Bates," portrayed by Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga. With Peltz only being born in 1995, she may be the perfect age for the role if they plan to go on a nice long run like CW done with "Smallville". Peltz is relatively new to the acting game, but her recent addition to the "Transformers" franchise will make her a HOT property in the coming months.- Actress

Jessica Nigri is a well-known cosplayer who gained notoriety in 2009 at the San Diego Comic-Con when she dressed up as a unique version of Pikachu. Since then she has cosplayed many other characters from different anime and video games such as Rikku from Final Fantasy X-2 and Yoko Littner from Gurren Lagann.VERY OUTSIDE CALL, not even a serious call, just a pure fanboy casting considering her dedication to the nerd world and cosplaying. She probably can't act to save her life, however, she has made a HUGE dedication to the nerd world and comic related everything for years
