11 Things to Expect From "The Walking Dead" Season 77 of 11
Morgan will smile in the Kingdom, but will Carol?
Morgan (Lennie James) and Carol were spared Negan's lineup, and we last saw them as Morgan saved Carol's life by breaking his no-kill vow. He then met a knight-like representative from the Kingdom. That should lead us to the Kingdom and to meet King Ezekiel. "I can't wait for fans to see the episode where [Ezekiel is] introduced," McBride said in a "Talking Dead" segment. "I don't think the fans are going to be disappointed."
Lennie James said he's interested in seeing how Morgan survives in the Kingdom "without Rick as an anchor and without Rick looking over his shoulder ... This is Morgan meeting people as Morgan, with no knowledge or awareness of his history. One of the things that's most interesting to me is Morgan smiles in The Kingdom and it will be interesting to figure out why."
A smile from Morgan, even post-"all life is precious"! McBride teased that it will be "very interesting" to see Carol and Morgan together in Sesaon 7. She told ComicBook.com the first three episodes will give fans a good idea of where everyone is, in terms of Negan's lineup group vs. Carol and Morgan, and the folks left back at Alexandria. "[Carol is] passed out when we last see her, so she's waking up in a whole new place,” McBride said. "[Morgan] and Carol were not seeing eye to eye when we last saw them, and yet he was forced to make a choice that he had fought so hard against for all of the last season, so we'll see where that takes them and their mindset and if they have anything new in common.”
