11 Things to Expect From "The Walking Dead" Season 711 of 11
A "super bada** conflict" is coming ... eventually
The first half of Season 7 sounds dark as heck, no question, but there's reason to hope that Rick and friends are smart and strong enough to adapt to this new world and fight back.
Andrew Lincoln talked to Vulture about what he likes most about the TWD comic book series, and he teased some exciting group conflict ahead: "From the comic books, the thing I really liked is that the world expands and you meet all these different communities. And each community is different — they're benevolent, they're oppressive — but they're described by the leader and how they set up their own philosophies and ideology. [...] And so you have these collisions of ideas and peoples and the world just gets bigger and bigger and bigger, and cooler and more exciting. And if we follow the comic book, then there's a super bada** conflict between Negan and us, and I think that's certainly something that I think will trump anything we've attempted before in the show."
Well, in the premiere sneak peek, Rick does tell Negan, "I'm gonna kill you," so that has to be revisited, if not today or tomorrow. Assuming they do follow the comic book, will the "conflict" play out in Season 7 or be held over for Season 8?
