- DirectorJohn LasseterStarsTom HanksTim AllenDon RicklesA cowboy doll is profoundly threatened and jealous when a new spaceman action figure supplants him as top toy in a boy's bedroom.Forever the king of computer animated films. This film was the first film that was entirely computer generated, and 3D modeled. Pixar hit it right on the dot with this film. It wasn't just the first one that completely revolutionized the animated film era; the two sequels to this one are definitely some of the best animated films of all time.
- DirectorBrad BirdJan PinkavaStarsBrad GarrettLou RomanoPatton OswaltA rat who can cook makes an unusual alliance with a young kitchen worker at a famous Paris restaurant.A visually stalling film that really hit the older audiences with the feels. We all remember our first favorite meal. In fact mine growing up was chef Boyardee ravioli. Pixar traveled to our plates, and some how ended up in all of our childhoods in this movie. The film had superb voice acting, hilarious adult humor for a kids movie, and most of all, a fantastic message. Not everyone can make amazing things, but amazing things can come from anyone. Such a good screenplay.
- DirectorAndrew StantonStarsBen BurttElissa KnightJeff GarlinA robot who is responsible for cleaning a waste-covered Earth meets another robot and falls in love with her. Together, they set out on a journey that will alter the fate of mankind.Pixar really had some balls to make this movie. Of course kids won't really understand this one very well. No other film on the face of the earth would ever have the balls to make a movie about a post-apocalyptic world where humans destroyed the planet and all of the green plants that lived in the world. The other Pixar films had really friendly messages to audiences. Toy story, be a kid again, a bugs life, venture to be different, and so on. However, this one is basically telling us that we need to stop with all of our industrial and technological advances and protect our world. Not very much voice acting in this film, but still was a very exciting, visually appalling animated films. And for that, I love it.
- DirectorRoger AllersRob MinkoffStarsMatthew BroderickJeremy IronsJames Earl JonesLion prince Simba and his father are targeted by his bitter uncle, who wants to ascend the throne himself.Let's face it. We were all doomed to read Romeo and Juliet when we were in high school. With all respect to the Shakespearean classic, our education system shoved the play down our throat. Including many other of Shakespeare's works. The verdict is that we all grew up hating Shakespeare. This film was based off of shakespear's Hamlet. While adding some of the features that make movies a kids movie, this film stayed true to a tragic story. And adults and children alike marvel over this movie. This will forever go down as one of the greatest movies of our time.
- DirectorJohn LasseterAndrew StantonStarsKevin SpaceyDave FoleyJulia Louis-DreyfusA misfit ant, looking for "warriors" to save his colony from greedy grasshoppers, recruits a group of bugs that turn out to be an inept circus troupe.a great movie with a great message. If you are the idiot, then be a proud one, and you'll come through in the end. This movie showed us that even though we may be small as individuals, we can group up and defeat even the strongest of foes. With the stunning visual appeals, this film was fantastic and really stayed true to a Pixar story.
- DirectorChris BuckKevin LimaStarsTony GoldwynMinnie DriverBrian BlessedA man raised by gorillas must decide where he really belongs when he discovers he is a human. The story of a human boy raised by apes. A story that has been told for atleast 2 centuries. However, the story wasn't really adored by children, and wasn't in pop-culture. This movie took that classic story, and made something everybody can enjoy. It showed us that even though all blood is family, not all family is blood.
- DirectorAndrew AdamsonVicky JensonStarsMike MyersEddie MurphyCameron DiazA mean lord exiles fairytale creatures to the swamp of a grumpy ogre, who must go on a quest and rescue a princess for the lord in order to get his land back.A fairy-tale of fairy-tales. We often grew up watching the movies like Snow-white, or Cindarella, and many other of the famous princess fairy-tales. This movie is sort of, kind of set in the same universe, but rather than taking one from one of those fairy-tales, they create their own. One of the most original, fun animated films to date. Including a wonderful soundtrack. After all, Shrek is love, Shrek is life.
- DirectorJames AlgarSamuel ArmstrongDavid HandStarsHardie AlbrightStan AlexanderBobette AudreyThe story of a young deer growing up in the forest. This was the first movie I ever actually cried at. It was one of the first movies I've ever watched that actually got me into animated movies as well. We follow Bambi, and grow a love of the forest. with one of the most heart-wrenching endings ever made, this movie truly makes all of our inner souls cry.
- DirectorMark DindalStarsDavid SpadeJohn GoodmanEartha KittEmperor Kuzco is turned into a llama by his ex-administrator Yzma, and must now regain his throne with the help of Pacha, the gentle llama herder.Such a funny movie! Literally couldn't stop laughing at this classic from start to finish. Not only does this movie have a great adventure for us to see, we have some really talented voice actors as well as awesome animation. Waterfalls, trenches, animals, llamas, it was just a modern marvel in animation.
- DirectorPete DocterDavid SilvermanLee UnkrichStarsBilly CrystalJohn GoodmanMary GibbsIn order to power the city, monsters have to scare children so that they scream. However, the children are toxic to the monsters, and after a child gets through, two monsters realize things may not be what they think.
