- StarsCarlos LarkinNick AdamsBarbara BachThis is the finest collection of bad films ever compiled. The budgets are cheap, the acting is terrible, and the plots are nowhere to be seen. It's The Fifty Worst Films Ever Made!I have trouble classifying this dreck as a documentary because it really isn't. It's an opinionated list of someone's 50 least favorite films that include well liked movies such as Greetings, Spider Baby, Black Belt Jones, J.D.'s Revenge, and Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla, yet somehow forget classic bad movies such as Troll 2, The Beast Of Yucca Flats, Manos: Hands Of Fate, Monster A Go-Go, Zaat, Jaws 4, and The Garbage Pail Kids Movie, while an annoying narrator talks over it. No information goes into the movie's backstories, no interviews, nothing informal. Just a two sentence explanation of the plot while the movie trailer plays in the background. There simply isn't a worse documentary.
- DirectorKurt EngfehrStarsJoe CrossBjarke de KoningCarrie DiulusJoe Cross examines how to make healthy habits last. Joe meets with experts who present realistic solutions to make long-term sustainable improvements to eating behaviors and overall health.Garbage. Complete garbage. It's not a sequel, but a totally unrelated thing that just happens to star the host of the original. Just a 90 minute informercial that you'd see at 2:00 A.M. telling you to buy their product. It presents nothing new, nothing interesting, and nothing exciting. A horrible waste of time and money for both the filmmakers and the audience.
- DirectorJoe CrossKurt EngfehrStarsJoe CrossAmy BadbergMerv CrossFat, Sick, and Nearly Dead is an American documentary that chronicles Australian Joe Cross's 60-day journey across the United States, where he embarks on a juice-only fast in a quest to reclaim his health.A 90 minute long informercial about The Juicer. Very misguided and goes nowhere. It feels like the filmers either had no idea what to do until the editing stages, or their ideas of what they wanted to film changed every time they turned on a camera. It establishes itself about a man going on a 60 day on a road trip across the USA, but this is immediately thrown out the window and never mentioned again. Then it turns into a social experiment movie, and then it turns into a testing-the-myth movie, then it turns into an documentary following someone's life, then it becomes a commercial, and at the end you're like "what happened to the whole road trip thing?"
- DirectorLarry CharlesStarsBill MaherTal BachmanJonathan BouldenBill Maher's take on the current state of world religion.Basically 90 minutes of some atheist dickhead walking around being a douchebag and confronting people if they really know Christianity, which of course they don't, and then he calls them morons. As an atheist, I find these kinds of idiots embarrassing. On top of that, the "facts" about Christianity he spews aren't even true. Basically the epitome of "douchy atheism" cinema, the Reddit of movies.
- DirectorMorgan SpurlockStarsMorgan SpurlockDaryl IsaacsChemeeka WalkerWhile examining the influence of the fast food industry, Morgan Spurlock personally explores the consequences on his health of a diet of solely McDonald's food for one month.Probably the most watched documentary of all time, and that's a shame. Spurlock is beyond irritating, and hearing his bro douche voice narrated this entire film makes me want to put it on mute. He tries a very obvious challenge: will I get fat if I eat fast food three times a day without exercising? The answer is yes, shockingly enough.
- DirectorNathan FrankowskiStarsBen SteinLili AsvarPeter AtkinsBen Stein examines the issue of academic freedom and decides that there is none when it comes to the debate over intelligent design.Unbelievably fictitious and arrogant. The film constantly compares atheism to Nazi Germany on several occasions, even to the point where the film goes to an actual concentration camp and asks about what it was like to stay there. The film flat out lies about information, including one part that says a teacher got fired for writing an essay supporting creationism, when really he put his resignation six months before the incident happened. Does the film tell you that? No, but Google does. This doc also over exaggerates the slightest and most obvious things, like "why does this small organization with no resources have such a small building?" and it's ALWAYS the fault of atheists. Ben Stein is a pompous idiot.
- DirectorBruce HendricksStarsNick JonasJoe JonasKevin JonasA 3-D concert film of the 2008 Jonas Brothers "Burning Up" concert tour, as well as documentary footage on the lives of the three brothers. No, this film didn't make my list because of the Jonas Brothers. I'm totally indifferent of their music. This doc made the list simply because it completely fails as a documentary. We learn nothing about these boys, nothing about their backstory, nothing about their personalities, not even anything about their music. It's just two or three songs interrupted by fan interviews and a very poorly acted segment where the Bros do something wacky. I learned nothing from this film.
- DirectorDinesh D'SouzaBruce SchooleyStarsDinesh D'SouzaJonah GoldbergDavid GuyetteDocumentarian Dinesh D'Souza analyzes the history of the Democratic Party and what he thinks are Hillary Clinton's true motivations.More pompous conservative propaganda that flat out lies about certain events. The film states that there is a KKK tribute in the Democratic side of the Pentagon, and that LBJ had slaves in his time as a president and forced the White House to watch The Birth Of A Nation nightly. It also tries to pin Democratic liberals as racist, sexist, and homophobic in an attempt to win over racist, sexist, and homophobic Republican conservatives. Hillary doesn't even become part of the doc until the last 10 minutes.
- DirectorDinesh D'SouzaJohn SullivanStarsDinesh D'SouzaBarack ObamaJosh BonzieA story that questions the shaming of the US through revisionist history, lies and omissions by educational institutions, political organizations, Alinsky, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and other progressives to destroy America.Another entry from Dinesh D'Souza, the Boll of documentary makers. It's just more American propaganda, saying the USA is the best country in the world and all other countries are useless and full of vegan pussies. Basically just bite into a steak and blare Tim McGraw in your Chevy Silverado with 16 lift kits. And remembers, all liberal Democrats are bad! If you see a Mexican in a Prius, shoot that gay commie dead!
- DirectorDaniel KrausStarsDaveKim DavisMarcus DunstanThe adventures of a 40-year-old, beer-drinking, porno-consuming wrestling fanatic with Down's Syndrome. It's sad that this sucks so much, because I love the premise. As it is, it looks like it was filmed in the 70's on an old VHS camera and the audio quality is atrocious throughout. Nothing happens in the entire film. It isn't even a proper documentation about the life of a person with Down's Syndrome and what they see through their eyes because most of it is scripted.
