Gal Gadot Reveals What It Means to Play Wonder Woman6 of 11
This film is set about 100 years before the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, so how did you change your approach to the character?
The character is different. The character that I played in BvS was more realistic and more mature and more of a woman, a mature woman. And this one, this is the coming-of-age of Diana. She starts as a very naive girl. Naive, positive, happy, seeking-for-good girl. But in BvS she's been through a lot. She already understood the complexity of human beings, and she's just more mature in BvS.
How did she develop the accent that we hear in Batman v Superman?
Her accent in Wonder Woman is more Themysciran. She still has some of the Themyscirian accent in BvS but she knows hundreds of languages. She's well educated. She knows how to speak every language you can think of. In this one, she has a heavier accent ... in BvS it's lighter, but it's still there. She's still foreign.
