Tommy Bayiokos is an actor, model, drummer and percussionist whose long list of credits include being a band member for his late friend, Grammy-nominated songstress Laura Branigan. He was born Athanasios Bayiokos to Panagiotis and Eleftheria Bayiokos in Brooklyn, NY. His father owned the popular Sugar Bowl restaurant across the street from Brooklyn College--City University of New York for decades, and his mother was a former "Miss Greek Independence" beauty queen. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1987 from Brooklyn College, where he was a member of the Brooklyn College Conservatory Jazz Ensemble and a stage actor in BC's Walt Whitman Theatre. He also trained for eight years at the famed Drummers Collective School of Music in Manhattan, New York Acting School for Film & Television, SAG Conservatory and in later years with renowned acting coach Wynn Handman. Shohreh Aghdashloo was born Shohreh Vaziri-Tabar on May 11, 1952 in Tehran, Iran. In the 1970s at age 20, she achieved nationwide stardom in her homeland of Iran, starring in some prominent pictures such as The Report (1977) directed by the renowned Abbas Kiarostami, which won critics awards at the Moscow Film Festival. In 1978, she won wider acclaim and established herself as one of Iran's leading ladies with Desiderium (1978) directed by the late Ali Hatami. During the 1978 Islamic revolution, Aghdashloo left Iran for England, to complete her education. Her interest in politics and her concern for social injustice in the world would lead her to receive a Bachelor's degree in International Relations.
She continued to pursue her acting career, which eventually brought her to Los Angeles, California in 1987. She went on to marry actor/playwright Houshang Touzie, performing in a number of his plays, successfully taking them to national and international stages. However, this was not easy getting work in Hollywood as a Middle Eastern actress with an accent; she had roles in some decent, though not great, films, including Twenty Bucks (1993), Surviving Paradise (2000) and Maryam (2002). She received good reviews for her 12 episodes on the fourth season of the Fox television series 24 (2001) as Dina Araz, a terrorist undercover as a well-to-do housewife and mother in Los Angeles. She had to wait quite some time to receive her break in Hollywood.
And finally, years after having read the acclaimed novel "House of Sand and Fog", DreamWorks were in the process of bringing the story to the silver screen. After having cast Ben Kingsley (as Massoud Amir Behrani) and Jennifer Connelly in the lead roles, they were looking for a relatively unknown Iranian actress to play Kingsley's wife, Nadi. Shohreh Aghdashloo was duly cast. She stole the limelight and earned herself an Academy Award nomination as best supporting actress amongst many other prestigious awards, including the Independent Spirit Sward as best supporting actress in a feature film, the New York and Los Angeles film critics award and others.Believe: Season 1, Episode 3

James Ciccone is an American character actor, comedian, and acting teacher. He has appeared in dozens of network television shows and popular feature films. He is known for his three-season role as mob boss Carmine Patriccia in the HBO television drama The Deuce.
James Ciccone was born in Park Slope, Brooklyn as the tenth child to Anthony Ciccone and Theresa (Merrit) Ciccone; he is of Italian and Irish descent. The family owned a local luncheonette until 1965 when Ciccone's father died. Ciccone's mother sold the luncheonette and moved the family to the Bensonhurst/Gravesend section of Brooklyn where she worked full-time as a waitress. As a result, Ciccone was raised largely by his nine older siblings, two of which had artistic influence (his brother Anthony an artist, and sister Patricia a flutist).
Early on Ciccone had a desire to perform. In grade school he participated in several school plays and by age 11 began playing trumpet in the music program at Public School 153, Brooklyn. For the next five years he continued studying music with Academy Award-winning composer Elliot Goldenthal, who, through marriage, happened to be the brother of Ciccone's uncle. In 1977 Ciccone was accepted into the LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts, New York City. Widely known as the "FAME" school, with esteemed alums like Al Pacino and Liza Minnelli, the tiny high school gained world recognition with the release of the 1980 Academy Award-winning film, FAME.
Ciccone studied music at Performing Arts while studying acting with Uta Hagen and Bill Hickey at HB Studio. He later earned a bachelor of fine arts degree at Marist College, Poughkeepsie, NY and graduated magna cum laude. He disconnected from the performing arts community for several years and began working in the human services profession. In 1996 he enrolled in Seminary. In 2000 and 2003 respectively he earned master of divinity and doctor of ministry degrees from New York Theological Seminary. Although never ordained Ciccone taught briefly for St. John's University and in the graduate program at Metropolitan College of New York before embarking upon a professional acting career.
In 2006 Ciccone became a member of the small Primary Talent community theatre group housed at the 200-seat Players Theatre in Greenwich Village, New York. During this time he appeared in several productions including the lead role in Paddy Chayefsky's Marty. Over the next few years he was cast in a variety of unknown low-budget independent films and several student films at NYU Tish before writing and appearing in his own three short films: Nothing for Nothing, Plenty of It, and Neighborhood Nonsense, the latter of which appeared in the 2010 New Filmmakers Film Festival and was featured on Funny or Die. While studying with acting coach Harold Guskin he secured his television debut in the final season of the 54-year running soap, As The World Turns. The following year in 2011 Ciccone landed a guest star role on White Collar opposite Matt Bomer. In 2012 he appeared opposite Donnie Wahlberg and Jennifer Esposito in Blue Bloods and landed a recurring role on HBO's Boardwalk Empire. For the next decade he worked consistently on a variety of hit television shows like Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Law & Order and American Horror Story, and major films, such as Scorsese's The Irishman and Todd Phillip's Joker, to name a few. He has also appeared on SNL and has shared the screen with some of the best comedians in the business, like Awkwafina, Aziz Ansari, Melissa McCarthy, Ray Romano, Sebastian Maniscalco and Tiffany Haddish.
In addition to acting, Ciccone teaches the craft in his Show Up To Book The Role acting community located at Ripley Grier studios in New York City.Believe: Season 1, Episode 2

"Katherine Zalben" - Rene Ifrah grew up in Brooklyn, New York, where he was highly influenced by the multi-cultural surroundings of Sheepshead Bay/Gravesend/Brighton Beach's Italian/Jewish/Russian neighborhood.
The majority of Rene's formal acting training began at the Laguardia High School for the Performing Arts in New York, and continued in Los Angeles under the guidance of William Alderson and Robert Carnegie.
After being offered a role in a European television series during a two week vacation stint, Rene returned to Germany, the country of his birth, in 1999. The three weeks that he was supposed to be in the country have turned into six years and a promising TV and film career. Rene's first major challenge in Europe was relearning the German language. However, after struggling for only a few months, he was able to master the language without any trace of an accent.
Rene began performing in the Berlin theater scene and was discovered by renowned casting agent Annette Borgmann while playing the lead character of Matthew in a production of 'Private Eyes' at the Friends of Italian Opera-The English Theater. This chance encounter led to Rene being cast in his first major role in the film "September", directed by the award-winning Max Faerberboeck. In this story, experiencing September 11th through German eyes, Rene played a Pakistani pizza store owner sympathetic to the terrorists on 9/11. The role was ideologically challenging, given Rene's own Jewish-American background. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival (2003), and consequently opened many new doors for him.
His greatest success to date came as the lead in Miguel Alexandre's "With Love From Kashmir." In this film Rene played the role of a foreign architect, Sharif Mishra, living in Germany. Sharif is torn between his love for a German woman, and his sense of responsibility towards his family and his war-torn country of Kashmir. For this exceptional performance, Rene was honored with the prestigious Grimme Prize for Best Actor (2005).
Action films have also proven to be well within Mr. Ifrah's range. In "Blood of the Templars", directed by the Oscar nominated Florian Baxmeyer, Rene played an assassin working for one of two rival Templar families. He underwent extensive physical training for the role, including martial arts and sword fighting techniques.
Most recently Rene had the lead role in the comedy "Zorres" directed by Anja Jacobs. Going full circle Rene gets back to his roots, playing a German-Jewish character, Leo Rosen. Handsome, lovable, though a total mama's boy, Leo can't seem to get his life together. He works as a coach for a youth soccer team, consistently taking on too many responsibilities and consequently not being able to live up to them. The romantic comedy shows a very different side of Rene, and is a wonderful example of his diversity as a performer.
With his roots firmly planted in New York's melting pot, René has been able to expand and broaden his technique from his many experiences in Europe. Whether playing a belligerent Pakastani immigrant, the conflicted partner in a multi-racial couple, or a goofy and charming Jewish soccer coach, Rene's talent continues to impress and entertain audiences.
Considering the variety of strong roles behind him, we can certainly expect many more promising appearances from Rene Ifrah in the years to come.Believe: Season 1, Episode 8

"Young Delkash"- A native New Yorker, Gameela took the scenic route to acting. Starting out in grade school doing school plays whenever possible and hamming it up for her family whenever they could stand it, she soon found her way to dance and got accepted into the prestigious Dance Theater of Harlem. When a physical injury sidelined a dance career, Gameela went the business route, working in advertising while getting her BA in both Psychology and Marketing at the CUNY Baccalaureate Program.
She is forever grateful to her ad agency for laying off her division - for that is when she decided to finish up school full-time. While taking a class at Hunter College Gameela saw a flyer for auditions for "Twelfth Night". Realizing that the "gnawing" feeling she always felt was her long-ignored childhood dream of being an actor, she decided to try out, though she had no formal training. She was cast as Maria and went on to do three other Shakespearean productions. Gameela then went back to school and has studied with Terry Schreiber and Wynn Handman to name a few. She has gone on to do theater, television, film and commercials and is proud to call herself a working actor.Believe: Season 1, Episode 9

On the stage and on the big screen, Delroy Lindo projects a powerful presence that is almost impossible to ignore. Alhough it was not his first film role, his portrayal of the bipolar numbers boss West Indian Archie in Spike Lee's Malcolm X (1992) is what first attracted attention to Lindo's considerable talents. Since then, his star has slowly been on the rise.
The son of Jamaican parents, Lindo was born and raised in Lewisham, England, United Kingdom, until his teens when he and his mother, a nurse, moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. A little later, they moved to the United States, where Lindo would graduate from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. After graduation, Lindo landed his first film role, that of an Army sergeant in More American Graffiti (1979). However, he did not appear in another film for ten years. In the meantime, Lindo worked on stage and, in 1982, debuted on Broadway in "Master Harold and the Boys" directed by the play's author, Athol Fugard. In 1988, Lindo earned a Tony nomination for his portrayal of Harald Loomis in Joe Turner's Come and Gone.
Though he was obviously a talented actor with a bright future, Lindo's career stalled. Wanting someone more aggressive and appreciative of his talents, Lindo changed agents (he'd had the same one through most of his early career). It was a smart move, but it was director Spike Lee who provided the boost Lindo's career needed. The director was impressed enough with Lindo to cast him as patriarch Woody Carmichael in Lee's semi-autobiographical comedy Crooklyn (1994).
For Lindo, 1996 was a big year. He landed major supporting roles in six features, including a heavy in Barry Sonnenfeld's Get Shorty (1995), another villainous supporting role in Lee's Clockers (1995), and still another bad guy in Feeling Minnesota (1996). Lest one believe that Lindo is typecast into forever playing drug lords and gangsters, that year he also played baseball player Leroy "Satchel" Paige in the upbeat Soul of the Game (1996) (a.k.a. Baseball in Black and White), for which he won a NAACP Image Award nomination. Since then, the versatile Lindo has shown himself equally adept at playing characters on both sides of the law. In 1997, he played an angel opposite Holly Hunter in Danny Boyle's offbeat romantic fantasy A Life Less Ordinary (1997) and, in 2009, a vengeful cop in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999).
Lindo graduated from San Francisco State University in 2004 with a degree in Cinema."Milton Winter"

The "boy next door, if that boy spent lots of time alone in the basement", is how Rich Cohen described Kyle MacLachlan in a 1994 article for "Rolling Stone" magazine. That distinctly askew wholesomeness made MacLachlan a natural to become famous as the alter ego of twisted director David Lynch.
MacLachlan was born and raised in Yakima, Washington, to Catherine Louise (Stone), a public relations director, and Kent Alan McLachlan, a lawyer and stockbroker. He has Scottish, English, Cornish, and German ancestry. MacLachlan graduated from the University of Washington in 1982. The darkly handsome actor made his feature film debut when he starred in the big-budget David Lynch adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune (1984), but only enjoyed real success after appearing in a second Lynch project, the moody and perverse classic, Blue Velvet (1986).
The following year saw MacLachlan appearing as an otherworldly FBI agent in the cult classic sci-fi film, The Hidden (1987). This turned out to be a sign of things to come, as MacLachlan soon took on another oddball G-man, "Special Agent Dale Cooper", on Lynch's cryptic ABC-TV series, Twin Peaks (1990), perhaps, along with Blue Velvet (1986), his most famous role. MacLachlan's remarkable work as Agent Cooper earned him a Golden Globe award and a pair of Emmy nominations, as well as steady work in television and films, including a part as Ray Manzarek in the Oliver Stone film, The Doors (1991), and villain "Cliff Vandercave" in the live action version of The Flintstones (1994).
His career took a hit after he appeared in the infamous flop, Showgirls (1995). However, MacLachlan returned to prominence in the early 2000s with a re-occurring role on HBO's Sex and the City (1998), as well as a starring role in the TV movie, The Spring (2000), and a turn as "Claudius" in director Michael Almereyda's version of Hamlet (2000). MacLachlan later took advantage of his resemblance to Cary Grant, when he played the classic actor's spirit in Touch of Pink (2004).
MacLachlan has remained a popular actor with independent filmmakers, and he has also been a familiar face on television, appearing on the ABC-TV shows, In Justice (2006) and Desperate Housewives (2004)."Dr. Roman Skouras"
