Cannes Selections: 2014
The 67th annual Cannes Film Festival lineup includes some Croisette regulars, such as Ken Loach, Jean-Luc Godard and David Cronenberg, but some new faces as well. A little under a third of the programmed features were directed by women, an assumed response to the stinging rebukes the programmers have received over the last several years, such as 2012 when, of the 22 films in competition, not a single one was directed by a woman. Cannes runs May 14th - 25th.
