- DirectorDoug LimanStarsTom CruiseEmily BluntBill PaxtonA soldier fighting aliens gets to relive the same day over and over again, the day restarting every time he dies.I didn't even read the book or know anything about this. Until the trailers hit. Ever since then, I wanted to see this movie so bad, and still do. I liked Oblivion, and this reminds me of it, so why not?
UPDATE: And... this movie is awesome. The humor, the acting, the story, the action, everything is great in this movie. I thought the ending could of been better, but still a great film. - DirectorJosh BooneStarsShailene WoodleyAnsel ElgortNat WolffHazel and Gus are teenagers who meet at a cancer support group and fall in love. They both share the same acerbic wit and a love of books, especially "An Imperial Affliction", so they embark on a journey to visit an author in Amsterdam. While this is coming out the same day as Edge of Tomorrow (Double Feature!), I will still see it considering how amazing the book was.
UPDATE: I saw this, and was quite disappointed. Shaliene Woodley is amazing, and Nat Wolff is pretty funny, but Ansel Elgort is just such a mediocore actor that I almost removed a star just for that. And one of my favorite parts of the book was removed. While not terrible, it's just not quite great.
Edge of Tomorrow, you better have something good waiting for me. - DirectorMatt ReevesStarsGary OldmanKeri RussellAndy SerkisThe fragile peace between apes and humans is threatened as mistrust and betrayal threaten to plunge both tribes into a war for dominance over the Earth.Let's face it, who DOESN'T want to see this movie. Unless you haven't seen Rise of the Apes.
- DirectorNicholas StollerStarsSeth RogenRose ByrneZac EfronAfter they are forced to live next to a fraternity house, a couple with a newborn baby do whatever they can to take them down.Yes, I want to see this more than The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (which I'll get to in a sec). The movie looks extremely funny. The airbag joke anybody? Seth Rogen looks great and so does Zac. My only problem? I hope this isn't like This Is The End, because I hated that.
- DirectorMichael BayStarsMark WahlbergNicola Peltz BeckhamJack ReynorWhen humanity allies with a bounty hunter in pursuit of Optimus Prime, the Autobots turn to a mechanic and his family for help.I haven't seen any of the Transformers movies, but ever since I saw the trailer for this during Captain America: The Winter Soldier, I knew I had to see this. I like Mark Wahlberg's work, and the action looks awesome.
- DirectorDean DeBloisStarsJay BaruchelCate BlanchettGerard ButlerWhen Hiccup and Toothless discover an ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace. If you haven't see the first How to Train Your Dragon, you really should, as it is one of my favorite animated movies. Of course, that's why I want to see this one too. But lets just hope it doesn't have anything to do with the show.
- DirectorSeth MacFarlaneStarsSeth MacFarlaneCharlize TheronLiam NeesonAs a cowardly farmer begins to fall for the mysterious new woman in town, he must put his newly found courage to the test when her husband, a notorious gun-slinger, announces his arrival.Ted was great, and the trailer shows the movie will be funny too.
- DirectorPhil LordChristopher MillerStarsChanning TatumJonah HillIce CubeAfter making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt and Jenko when they go deep undercover at a local college.I liked the first one, this one looks (somewhat) funny too. The trailers haven't really been showing very good jokes.
- DirectorLuc BessonStarsScarlett JohanssonMorgan FreemanChoi Min-sikA woman, accidentally caught in a dark deal, turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic. It looks good, but it reminds me too much of Limitless.
- DirectorRobert StrombergStarsAngelina JolieElle FanningSharlto CopleyA vengeful fairy is driven to curse an infant princess, only to discover that the child could be the one person who can restore peace to their troubled land.I'm not the most exicted guy for this, but I will end up seeing this because of my friends. It still looks cool with the visual effects and Angelina Jolie.
- DirectorJames GunnStarsChris PrattVin DieselBradley CooperA group of intergalactic criminals must pull together to stop a fanatical warrior with plans to purge the universe. The advertising makes this thing look like a joke. Mainly because it is. Nobody knows what the Guardians of the Galaxy are, and the tagline ''You're Welcome'', proves that perfectly. But hey, the action looks neat, and a great cast too.
- DirectorMarc WebbStarsAndrew GarfieldEmma StoneJamie FoxxWhen New York is put under siege by Oscorp, it is up to Spider-Man to save the city he swore to protect as well as his loved ones.(sigh) OK, we can talk about this, I guess. I HATED the first Amazing Spider-Man, espially compared to the 2002 Tobey Maguire version. The only reason why I put this on the list is because I know I'll end up seeing it in some weird way. People say this looks better than the first, but I see the same crap from the first round.
UPDATE: I saw The Amazing Spider-Man 2, don't ask why. I am very surprised, probably one of my favorite Spider-Man movies! All the actors are amazing, as well as the action. The story, epically the ending, is a little sloppy at times though. Go see this, 3D if you can.
