I'm not sure if the categories "Crime" and "Comedy" really fit.

- DirectorWes AndersonStarsJason SchwartzmanBill MurrayOlivia WilliamsA teenager at Rushmore Academy falls for a much older teacher and befriends a middle-aged industrialist. Later, he finds out that his love interest and his friend are having an affair, which prompts him to begin a vendetta.I don't always like Wes Anderson's films but when I do, it's 'Rushmore'. Maybe I should watch more of Anderson's work though.
- DirectorChristian AlvartStarsNorman ReedusChristian von AsterAndré HennickeWanted for a long time, serial killer Gabriel Engel gets arrested in a spectacular police raid. Small town cop Michael Martens travels to the big city to interrogate him and finds out more than he is looking for.German thriller. It smells a bit like an episode of "Tatort" but actually it's better than this.

- DirectorBenoît DelépineGustave KervernStarsYolande MoreauBouli LannersBenoît PoelvoordeWhat to do when the workers of a factory have been laid off overnight? Louise has an original idea: why not pool the compensation money to hire a hit man and to liquidate the boss? Motion accepted so Louise goes in search of the gem they need and unfortunately comes across Michel, a security specialist. Michel, who is busted, gladly accepts the deal but proves so inept that he sub-contracts the job to improbable novices. As the factory was a mere branch of a multinational company, it is no bed of roses to find the one who actually made the decision to outsource its activities, but Louise will not give up so easily.Good idea for a film with a rather weak script.
- DirectorGary FlederStarsAndy GarciaChristopher WalkenChristopher LloydFive different criminals face imminent death after botching a job quite badly.Underrated movie from the middle of the 90's. Maybe a bit too much of Pulp Fiction in it.
- DirectorJean-Pierre MelvilleStarsAlain DelonBourvilGian Maria VolontèAfter leaving prison, master thief Corey crosses paths with a notorious escapee and an alcoholic former policeman. The trio proceed to plot an elaborate heist. One of the best French thriller's I've seen so for. In the middle it get's a bit weak though.

- DirectorAdrian LyneStarsTim RobbinsElizabeth PeñaDanny AielloMourning his dead child, a haunted Vietnam War veteran attempts to uncover his past while suffering from a severe case of dissociation. To do so, he must decipher reality and life from his own dreams, delusions, and perceptions of death.Good cinematography. In the end it get's a bit weak.
- DirectorRainer Werner FassbinderAlf BrustellinHans Peter CloosStarsWolfgang BächlerHeinz BennentWolf BiermannGermany in Autumn has no typical plot; it mixes documentary footage with standard movie scenes to present the mood of Germany during the late 1970s. The film covers 2 months in 1977 when a businessman was kidnapped and murdered by the left-wing terrorists known as the RAF-Rote Armee Fraktion (Red Army Faction). The businessman was kidnapped in an effort to secure the release of the original leaders of the RAF, also known as the Baader-Meinhof gang. When the kidnapping effort and a plane hijacking effort failed, the three most prominent leaders of the RAF, Andreas Baader, Gudrun Ensslin, and Jan-Carl Raspe, all committed suicide in prison. It has become an article of faith within the left-wing community that these three were actually murdered by the state. The film has several vignettes, including an extended set of scenes with famous director Rainer Werner Fassbinder discussing his feelings about Germany's political situation at the time. Fassbinder's scenes almost seem to be candid documentary footage, but they aren't. Other scenes include documentary footage of the joint funeral of Baader, Enslin, and Raspe.Watch this film if you're interested in history. Best segment was Volker Schlöndorff's.
- DirectorFrançois OzonStarsNatacha RégnierJérémie RenierPredrag 'Miki' ManojlovicModern retelling of Hansel and Gretel. After committing a murder, a young couple on the run find refuge in a remote cottage in the woods, where they become trapped by the perverse hermit who lives there.Unconvincing story with weak characters in it. Editing was good though
- DirectorWalter HillStarsMichael BeckJames RemarDorsey WrightA street gang known as the Warriors must fight its way from the Bronx to its home turf on Coney Island when its members are falsely accused of assassinating a respected gang leader.I enjoyed this one. 'Cult movie' about gangs in New York.
- DirectorAdam McKayStarsWill FerrellChristina ApplegateSteve CarellIn the 1970s, an anchorman's stint as San Diego's top-rated newsreader is challenged when an ambitious newswoman becomes his co-anchor.Rather annoying at the beginning but with great cameos by actors like Tim Robbins oder Ben Stiller.
- DirectorNeil JordanStarsCillian MurphyMorgan JonesEva BirthistleIn the 1970s, a young trans woman, Patrick "Kitten" Braden, comes of age by leaving her Irish town for London, in part to look for her mother and in part because her gender identity is beyond the town's understanding.Outstanding performance by Cilian Murphy.
- DirectorAljoscha PauseStarsThomas BroichJosef TratnikThe story of German soccer player Thomas Broich, destined to become a star to a whole generation, and his struggle, downfall and eventual rise to personal liberation by taking a step back from a business that only knows black and white.Maybe the best documentary about football business that was ever made.
- DirectorJohn HughesStarsMatthew BroderickAlan RuckMia SaraA popular high school student, admired by his peers, decides to take a day off from school and goes to extreme lengths to pull it off, to the chagrin of his Dean, who'll do anything to stop him.

- DirectorDalton TrumboStarsTimothy BottomsKathy FieldsMarsha HuntDuring World War I, a patriotic young American is rendered blind, deaf, limbless, and mute by a horrific artillery shell attack. Trapped in what's left of his body, he desperately looks for a way to end his life.Disturbing and important movie.
- DirectorLouis MalleStarsJeanne MoreauMaurice RonetGeorges PoujoulyA self-assured businessman murders his employer, the husband of his mistress, which unintentionally provokes an ill-fated chain of events.Maybe the best film noir plot ever made
