From bringing dynamic characters to life on screen to producing and writing films, award winning actor Mehcad Brooks has become known in the entertainment industry for his raw and refined talent, charisma, and moving presence. This year, Mehcad can be seen starring as Jackson 'Jax' Briggs, a cybernetically-enhanced super soldier and leader of Earthrealm in Warner Bros' highly anticipated action adventure feature film "Mortal Kombat." Directed by Simon McQuaid and produced by James Wan ("Aquaman"), the film is based on the iconic video game series that centers on an extensive roster of character fighters from a variety of realms in a fictional universe battling for supremacy; the series has sold over 49 million copies, spanning over a dozen canon games and expansions, making it one of the most profitable video game franchises of all time. "Mortal Kombat" was released simultaneously in theaters worldwide, and on HBO Max on April 16, 2021.
In film, Mehcad starred in Netflix's most watched thriller of 2020, Tyler Perry's "A Fall From Grace," which in its first four months following its debut remained one of the Top 10 Most Watched titles. He also recently starred in "Nobody's Fool" (Paramount Pictures) opposite Tika Sumpter, Tiffany Haddish and Whoopi Goldberg. Additional film credits include "In the Valley of Elah" opposite Tommy Lee Jones and Charlize Theron, Disney's "Glory Road" produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, "Just Wright" opposite Queen Latifah, Common, and Paula Patton for Fox Searchlight Pictures and "About Last Night" opposite Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, and Regina Hall for Screen Gems.
On the television front, Mehcad most recently starred in the DC Comic superhero action-adventure series "Supergirl" (The CW) opposite Melissa Benoist. The series debuted in 2015 to critical acclaim, being called "a damn good time" by The New York Observer, "bright, fun, exciting" by Forbes and "just great television" by The Los Angeles Times. For five seasons, Mehcad was a fan favorite as friend, mentor, and object of affection to Supergirl (Benoist), James "The Guardian" Olsen.
Mehcad landed his first big break in television in 2005, securing the role of Matthew Applewhite (Alfre Woodward's son) on the award-winning series "Desperate Housewives" for ABC. During his time on the show he won a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, and also secured a NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Mehcad went on to co-star on the critically acclaimed Alan Ball HBO series "True Blood" as Benedict 'Eggs' Talley opposite Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer from 2008-2010. When his time on "True Blood" came to an end, he quickly booked a lead role on USA's drama series "Necessary Roughness," which was based on the true story of a female psychologist who worked for the New York Jets. Mehcad was a scene stealer as football player Terrence 'TK' King, a star wide receiver who becomes notorious for his frequent fumbles and regular run-ins with the law. The series ran for three seasons, from 2011-13. In between "True Blood" and "Necessary Roughness," Mehcad landed a celebrity endorsement deal with Calvin Klein, in one of the most notorious global campaigns to date, making international headlines as one of the four faces of their CK X underwear line two years in a row.
Born and raised in Austin, Texas Mehcad grew up excelling at academics while being immersed in sports, becoming an all-state basketball player. While he loved spending time on the court and in the classroom (being recognized nationally in academics), he had a deep-rooted passion for the arts, whether it was acting, playing music, producing, or writing. Upon graduating high school, he decided to forgo 26 basketball scholarships and a full academic scholarship to Yale. He decided to attend the prestigious University of Southern California to study at their School of Cinematic Arts, to further hone his craft. Early credits for Mehcad include: "Malcolm in the Middle," "Boston Public," "One on One," "Cold Case," "The Game," "Dollhouse," and "Ghost Whisperer."
While bringing characters to life remains one of Mehcad's biggest passions, his love for telling stories through music is equally important. Mehcad recently released his debut, full length album "May 20th" which was inspired by multiple near-death experiences, all taking place on May 20th and forever changing his life. "May 20th" is available on all digital platforms.Super talented actor and former model Mehcad Brooks tops our list for the third year in a row as the Hottest Guy In Entertainment. It's just a fact that is what it is. The sun is hot, the earth is round, rappers love diamonds, and Mehcad Brooks is the hottest guy ever. He's talented, charming, intelligent, hard working, politically involved, he's very giving and appreciative to his fans, and his smile lights up a room. I know I don't have to mention his god-like body but I will anyway... DAMN he's got a nice body! The Calvin Klien underwear ads he did a few years back were among the most popular the design label has ever created all thanks to Mehcad. Currently Mehcad is working on a number of different movie projects all due to come out later in 2014 but his main focus is recording music. I have no idea what it will sound like but I can't wait to hear it. So those are the many reasons why he's #1 for "Hottest Guy In Entertainment for 2013".- Actor

However, his personal life did get scrutiny in 2008, due to his romance with actress Drew Barrymore that year.
In addition to his film appearances, he is a spokesman for the Apple Mac computers, appearing with John Hodgman in its commercials.I've always been a huge fan of Justin's work. His movie roles are never a letdown. It doesn't hurt to have a gorgeous smile and a smokin' hot body as well. That's why he's at #2 on our hot 100 list.- Actor

Cameron Monaghan was born in Santa Monica, California. Cameron's debut TV role as "Winthrop Paroo" in The Music Man (2003) was originally played by Ron Howard in The Music Man (1962). Cameron began his acting career at 5 years old in commercials. At age 7, he began appearing on stage as Stuart Little in "Stuart Little" and as Piglet in "Winnie the Pooh" at Little Palm Family Theatre in Boca. His most famous rolls include Ian Gallagher in "Shameless US" and Jerome and Jeremiah Valeska in "Gotham".The Showtime tv series "Shameless" is responsible for Cameron's addition to the list. I love his character and he's a very attractive guy. In fact he's probably the only guy on this list that could give Mehcad a run for his money. ;-)- Actor

He is an actor and producer, known for Empire (2015), The Mighty Ducks (1992) and B-Boy Blues (2021).Jussie has a role in an awesome new tv drama starring Terrance Howard titled "Empire". There's no release date yet but be on the look out because the previews look amazing. I think it's going to be on Fox. I fully expect him to steal the show because he's so damn gorgeous. I'm also excited about this new series because there are ZERO gay African American characters on network tv right now. Jussie plays a closeted gay hip hop artist. I think it's about time people like me (and him) get some airtime.- Actor

Jordan Gavaris was born on 25 September 1989 in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. He is an actor and producer, known for The Lake (2022), Hacks (2021) and Orphan Black (2013).I fell hard for Jordan while watching him in the first season of "Orphan Black". I've never seen a more perfect ass on a white boy than his. I hope the director and writers keep finding ways to show him naked because it takes the show from a solid 7 to a definite 10. So to recap: 1- I love Jordan! 2- I'm a HUGE fan! 3- Can't get enough of that ass.- Actor

Jay Baruchel was born in Ottawa, Ontario, and was raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He is the son of Robyne (Ropell), a freelance writer, and Serge Victor Baruchel, an antiques dealer. He has a younger sister who also acts. He started acting in 1995 when he made his first of three appearances on the hit show Are You Afraid of the Dark? (1990). He was also in more localized shows such as My Hometown (1996) and Popular Mechanics for Kids (1997).
Baruchel had spent some downtime and finally got a chance to be in a classic film called Almost Famous (2000) in 2000. He played "Vic", a devout fan of Led Zeppelin. Judd Apatow soon had a show in the works and Baruchel played "Steven Karp" on Undeclared (2001). He also had the chance to star alongside actors such as Ian Somerhalder and James Van Der Beek as "Harry" in The Rules of Attraction (2002). He has written on several high-profile films such as Iron Man 2, Tropic Thunder, and Rock of Ages. He lives in Los Angeles, estranged from wife, Jennifer Aniston.Justin first came to my attention in the series "The Leftovers". He exudes sex appeal in every single scene he's in. The best episode so far is the episode where all of his shirts disappears and he's shirtless for most of the episode. So very very hot. There's also a scene with him jogging in sweat pants that you have to watch in slow motion to really appreciate. Trust me, it's well worth the effort.- Actor

I fell for him instantly. Those eyes are hypnotic and I love the character he plays. I think it was very smart of the show's producers & casting to pull him into the cast as Lafayette's mysterious boyfriend. Hetrick Award from the Hetrick- Martin Institute for Outstanding Contributions to LGBTQ Youth, for his role as Rickie Vasquez on the ABC series MY SO CALLED LIFE, Wilson became the first openly Gay actor playing an openly Gay role on series television. Cruz also starred as Angel in the West Coast premiere of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning musical RENT which earned him both The Ovation and Drama Logue awards before his reprisal of the role on Broadway. Cruz recently accepted GLAAD's 2022 Vito Russo Award and the Make A Difference Award from the Matthew Shepard Foundation. Wilson is a first generation American of Puerto Rican descent. He has helped raise money for political candidates supporting LBGTQ rights. As a speaker, Cruz is called on to rally the troops both internally at national corporations and externally with the world as evidenced of his inclusions on the cable talkers, such as Jonathan Capehart's show on MSNBC and 2022, Pride Stars of Stage and Screen, speaking at NYC Pride in 2018 (2020) and New York Pride (2021).Ricky is all grown up now and has one of the best physiques in Hollywood. I love how active he is with gay rights and always involved in something positive to better our community... and he looks HOT in a speedo (I had the pleasure to be photographed with him on a beach in Miami and complimented him on his hot black speedos). All very good credentials for our "hottest 2013" list. lol- Faraz Ayub first caught my eye in the "Line of Duty" BBC tv series. He turns in a very solid performance as a DCI detective (I'm American so I have no idea if that's the proper title). Other than his acting talent his 2nd best feature would have to be his sexy lips. That coupled with his captivating charm put him in the top 20... quite an accomplishment among such strong competition this year.

In both career and in real life, Bobby Cannavale tends to choose the unconventional way of doing things. In the beginning, his decisions may have cost the dark, swarthily good-looking actor some acting roles and/or good-paying parts but, in the end, his strong work ethic and sense of self, despite a lack of formal training, allowed him to take a successful path off the crowded acting trail. From character goofball and cut-up, he has broken into the leading man ranks with his recent starring role as a reincarnated matchmaker in the TV series Cupid (2009).
Born Roberto M. Cannavale on May 3, 1971, in Union City, New Jersey, to an Italian-American father, Sal, and a Cuban mother, Isabel, he was involved in various activities at his Union City Catholic school, St. Michaels, while growing up. An altar boy, choir boy and lector, he also appeared in the church school's various musicals including his very first, "Guys and Dolls", in which he showed up as one of the gangsters, and "The Music Man", appearing as the lisping, scene-stealing tyke, "Winthrop".
Bobby's parents divorced when he was five years old and his mother moved the family to Puerto Rico for a couple of years. Eventually, they returned to the States and settled in Coconut Creek, Florida, where he attended high school. Restless and uncomfortable in any sort of regimented setting, he often got suspended for playing the class clown. Graduating in the late 1980s, and bitten by the acting bug, Bobby chose to return to the New York/New Jersey area in order to jump start an acting career. Working in bars to support himself, he again avoided the confines of an acting school and, instead, gained experience as a "reader" on occasion with the Naked Angels theatre company. During this time (1994), he met and married Jenny Lumet, the actress-daughter of director Sidney Lumet. They had son, Jake, the following year. The couple divorced in 2003.
Spotted by playwright Lanford Wilson while performing in an East Village production of Larry Kramer's "The Normal Heart", Bobby was invited to join Wilson's prestigious Circle Repertory Theatre. As a "reader" for the company, he eventually earned stage parts in "Chilean Holidays" (1996) and in Wilson's "Virgil Is Still the Frog Boy." He also went on to serve as understudy to Mark Linn-Baker in a 1998 production of "A Flea in Her Ear" and later replaced him. A noticeable role in the company's play, "The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told" by Paul Rudnick led to Bobby's being cast in the recurring role of a tugboat operator in the TV series Trinity (1998). Having only appeared in bit parts thus far in such movies as Night Falls on Manhattan (1996), directed by Lumet, and I'm Not Rappaport (1996), it was "Trinity" creator John Wells who caught Bobby's stage performance and handed him this career-making break on camera.
Bobby's "nice-guy" aura and blue-collar charm proved invaluable, if a bit restrictive. Once the "Trinity" series ended, Wells cast the 6'3" lug with the trademark caterpillar brows and crooked smile as lovelorn paramedic "Bobby Caffey" in his series Third Watch (1999). The character became quite popular but Bobby, again feeling restricted and wishing to broaden his horizon as an actor, asked to be released from the show -- but "in a big way". Creator Wells obliged and had the paramedic fatally shot in the chest and then experience a "beyond the grave" union with his character's deceased, ne'er-do-well dad.
Bobby next joined the cast of father-in-law Sidney Lumet's acclaimed TV courtroom drama 100 Centre Street (2001), starring Alan Arkin, cast against type as a brazenly opportunistic prosecutor. He subsequently earned recurring roles on Ally McBeal (1997) (in 2002) and Six Feet Under (2001) (in 2004). As for films, Bobby was featured in Gloria (1999), The Bone Collector (1999), Washington Heights (2002) and The Guru (2002) by the time he scored as the gregarious food truck driver in the critically-hailed indie film The Station Agent (2003), which paired him intriguingly opposite the diminutive actor Peter Dinklage.
Unwilling to shirk away from more controversial roles such as his gay drug dealer who has the hots for a fellow prisoner in the acclaimed series Oz (1997) or his closeted dancing neophyte in the film comedy Shall We Dance? (2004) starring Richard Gere, Bobby continued to elevate his status seesawing between film (Shortcut to Happiness (2003), Happy Endings (2005), Romance & Cigarettes (2005)) and TV assignments (the miniseries Kingpin (2003)). He earned big viewer points and an Emmy Award for his recurring portrayal of Will's dour cop/boyfriend on the hit sitcom Will & Grace (1998) in 2004. Elsewhere, on stage, he merited attention in such productions as "Hurlyburly" and earned a Tony Award nomination for his 2007 Broadway debut in "Mauritius."
After five consecutive failed pilots, Bobby has come front-and-center with his quirky starring role in the ABC series Cupid (2009), plus recurring roles in Cold Case (2003) and Nurse Jackie (2009), and his second Emmy-winning part in Boardwalk Empire (2010). He continues to rake up credits on the big screen with (The Merry Gentleman (2008), Diminished Capacity (2008), The Take (2007), 100 Feet (2008), Roadie (2011), Blue Jasmine (2013), link=tt2883512], Ant-Man (2015), I, Tonya (2017), Boundaries (2018) and The Irishman (2019), and with fascinating continuing/regular roles on such TV series as Cupid (2009), Cold Case (2003), Boardwalk Empire (2010), Nurse Jackie (2009), Vinyl (2016), Mr. Robot (2015) and Homecoming (2018), this dark, brutish character has plenty of staying power in both comedy and drama.Bobby's role in Boardwalk Empire made me a fan for life. In the role of Gyp Rosetti Bobby got the chance to display some very major assets that made me and everyone else take notice. If you watched season 4 you already know what I'm talking about. He's a very hot guy and a crazy talented actor.
