Editors' Picks: Our Favorites From the Week of March 3 2 of 10
In Memoriam of the Week, Pt. 1
Thanks to his "Beverly Hills, 90210" breakout, Luke Perry will always be remembered as a teen heartthrob, but what separated him from most of his well-cheekboned contemporaries was everything that followed. Over the course of his three-decade career, Perry — who died on March 4 — was a near-constant presence, showing up in series like "Oz" and the cult-classic "John from Cincinnati," and films like The Fifth Element and 8 Seconds. And in a nice full-circle moment, his most recent role was that of Fred Andrews, Archie's dad on "Riverdale," where he provided guidance to the next generation of teen-dream stars. They couldn't have asked for a better mentor.
