The Rise of Podcasts as TV Shows
I listen to a lot of podcasts ... so many that I need to plan a cross-country road trip to actually finish them all. One of my recent favorites was Wondery's "Dirty John," so I was beyond thrilled when I found out Bravo was turning it into a TV show. Turning podcasts into TV series has become so trendy that Amazon Studios has now done it twice ("Lore," and the recent Julia Roberts-led "Homecoming"), and it was announced in October that another excellent Wondery podcast, "Dr. Death," is coming to the small screen thanks to Universal Cable Productions. Now, if they would just give the ladies from "My Favorite Murder" their own TV talk show, all my podcast dreams would be complete.
