May Picks: The Movies and TV Shows You Can't Miss6 of 10
Deadwood | Premieres Friday, May 31, on HBO
I admit, I never thought it would happen. Ever since "Deadwood" was canceled, fans have been mercilessly teased by rumors that someday creator David Milch might return to complete the series that ended so abruptly in 2006. Improbably, Milch (recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's) and HBO are bringing closure to the series in the form of a TV movie in May. With nearly all original cast members returning, including personal favorites Paula Malcomson (Trixie), Brad Dourif (Doc Cochran), and Kim Dickens (Joanie Stubbs), this is shaping up to be my TV event of the year (sorry, "Game of Thrones"). — James
