Wally West and Artemis Crock were the secondary couple of "Young Justice".
Artemis and Wally first met when Artemis became the new protégé of Green Arrow and joined the Team. However, they quickly got off to a rocky start and took an instant dislike as Wally blamed Artemis driving away Red Arrow from joining the Team. They eventually started to become friends and true partners in fighting crime, but continue to fight and bicker with each other. They are also somewhat opposites attract since Wally comes from a family of superheroes while Artemis comes from a family of criminals. Eventually, the relationship between them began to change during a covert mission when they both gained amnesia and got off to a much better start as well as showing the first true hint there was something more between them. Since then, both Wally and Artemis developed romantic feelings for each other which were further developed when Wally showed great anger and sadness when he believed Artemis died during a training simulation exercise.
However, they were both too stubborn to admit how they truly felt and would constantly deny their feelings if ever confronted. In further attempt of denying their feelings, Wally and Artemis often tried to distract themselves with their one-sided crushes on Miss Martian and Superboy respectively, unaware they were already in a secret romantic relationship for sometime. Eventually, slowly yet surely, Wally and Artemis began to come to terms and accepted their true feelings for each other. However, Artemis was scared of Wally and the rest of the team finding out about her criminal family, causing a brief strain between them for sometime. Eventually, though Artemis confessed the truth about her family after the Team's darkest secrets came to light, mending her and Wally's relationship. At long last, by the end of the first season, Wally and Artemis finally confess their feelings for each other and become a couple during New Year's.
Since then, they have developed a strong and serious romantic relationship and remain together for the next five years. By the time Season 2 has begun, Artemis and Wally have retired from heroics to lead a normal life together and attend collage. However, Wally and Artemis found themselves getting being drawn back into the hero lifestyle when Artemis agrees to help Nightwing and Aqualad with a deep undercover mission that forces her to fake her death and assume the identity of Tigress. Wally is aware of the mission and greatly worries for Artemis' safety while Artemis misses Wally and begins to regret her choice. Eventually, Wally and Artemis are reunited after the mission is over, with the couple planning on giving up heroics once again and resume their life together. However, by the end of the season, Wally dies after he sacrifices his life to save the world from the Reach's final failsafe, leaving Artemis devastated and heartbroken.
In Season 3, set two years later, Artemis continues to mourn Wally's death and is unable to let go of the past or move on with her life without him. During the season, however, Artemis also finds herself developing an attraction with Will Harper, causing conflicted feelings between them since they are both unable to let go of Wally and Jade. By the end of the season, when Artemis and Will act upon their feelings, Artemis immediately regrets it and feels guilty, believing she is betraying Wally's memory. However, realizing she can't keep living this way, Artemis seeks Zatanna's help to summon Wally's spirit and at last the young lovers are reunited and spend one night together, envisioning the future they never got the chance to have together. However, when Artemis still refuses to let go and wants to stay, Wally convinces her that she needs to return and wants her to truly live and love again. At long last, Artemis finally manages to gain closure and accept Wally's death and although in the end, she and Will do not pursue a romantic relationship, Artemis is finally truly ready to take on her future once again.
