Best Supporting Actress: Raffey Cassidy, 'Vox Lux'
Natalie Portman's accent, which literally came out of nowhere halfway through Vox Lux, might've diminished her otherwise all-in performance as Celeste, the most damaged pop star in all of the land, so let's talk about Raffey Cassidy. Her performance(s) — she portrayed the younger version of Celeste and Albertine, the singer's swaddled-in-black daughter — were disarmingly skillful. She might not be able to unseat Regina King from the No.1 slot in the Best Supporting Actress category, but she deserves the chance to compete. — Arno
