- DirectorShawney CohenMike GallayStarsGillian BrownBrenda CohenRoger CohenAn intimate portrayal of a peculiar Jewish family running a small town strip club, while attempting to nurse their relationships and themselves back to health. This one I discovered quite recently. I did know it was about a son whose dad owned a whorehouse but I got so much more than just that. The people in this movie are so interesting I could not stop watching and hated that it had ended.
- DirectorBart LaytonStarsAdam O'BrianNicholas BarclayCarey GibsonA documentary centered on a young man in Spain who claims to a grieving Texas family that he is their 16-year-old son who has been missing for 3 years.Another one I did not know beforehand what this documentary was about and that s the best manner to watch them I think. Sure you might have a chance that you will not very much like the film but more often it makes for much better viewing because you have no pre received judgments or views. What a movie.
- DirectorFrederick WisemanDocumentary filmmaker Frederick Wiseman takes us inside the Massachusetts Correctional Institution Bridgewater where people stay trapped in their madness. It is hard to explain why I like this one so much. It is a very sad documentary and how people were treated back then was appalling. It has been a long time since I last watched but I will never forget the Russian man.
- DirectorRobert HendricksonLaurence MerrickStarsBobby BeausoleilMary BrunnerVincent BugliosiDocumentary on Charles Manson and his family. - DirectorDan ReedA documentary detailing an indiscriminate terrorist attack that left 71 dead in Kenya. This was for me living in Europe a very scary documentary. This is going to happen here as well (has happened) but to see how slow the police and army were to try and save people was annoying. Great and by me highly recommended documentary.
- DirectorClay TweelStarsSteve GleasonMike GleasonScott FujitaAfter he is diagnosed with ALS, former professional football player Steve Gleason begins making a video diary for his unborn son, as he, his wife, and their friends and family work to raise money for ALS patients as his disease progresses. If you feel like you need a cry but you are not able to watch this excellent documentary. - DirectorLiz GarbusStarsJesse TempleBrad KatinasDiane SchulerThis documentary explores the depth behind the case of a woman whose vehicle collision killed numerous people, including herself. You wonder what they were thinking before they jumped but to see camera capturing it made it even more shocking.
- DirectorDavid Graham ScottStarsDavid Graham ScottA dramatic documentary biopic in which the drug addicted filmmaker tries a radical and frightening method of detox. Link to full documentary at bottom of page.Very interesting documentary. The creator is still going strong. I do not think I would have dared what he did but hey he did not have much to lose because at that moment his life was horrible being an addict.
- StarsKeith MorrisonJohn AltingerColin KorbelasWhat started as an obsession with Dexter, the television series about a serial killer, Keith Morrison tells the story of an indie film-maker connected to the case of a missing man. Was it a publicity stunt or something far darker?I hardly ever watch shows like this but this one was very well done and the story that they slowly showed was so interesting, I could not stop. Wanted to know what was going on. Do not read descriptions. just get a copy. Great episode.
