THE NEW BATMAN ADVENTURES RATINGS
I know I am a big minority here, but I loved and enjoyed this follow-up show more than it's predecessor, the TAS!!!!!!!!
The animation is much better (if not a little lighter than it should) and the Red sky surrounding Gotham during the night set perfectly the mood of the show. As I said the animation is lighter than before, but the show itself is darker and more violent with some very mature themes and concepts. And OK Joker, Poison Ivy and especially Catwoman looked very weird and worse than before, but everyone else looked better this time, particularly Batman/Bruce Wayne, Bane and the Scarecrow. Unlike Robin in TAS (who was most of the time useless), Barbara and Tim were excellent sidekicks and Dick himself was amazing here as Nightwing. Batman in this show is portrayed much more serious and dedicated on his crusade (he reminded me a lot of the later Dark Knight of C.Nolan). The voice acting continues to be outstanding (and no surprises Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill and Arleen Sorkin stole the show). Though, what truly makes this show superior to TAS is the writing, which is insanely rich, thoughtful and beyond awesome. And let me tell you there is no episode of TAS than can reach the greatness of "Over the Edge", "Mad Love" and "Judgement Day" !!!!!!!!!
The only real disadvantage of the show is that some classic Batman villains (like Ra's al Ghul and the Riddler) are unfortunately missing
I really wish this show had live longer......
Overall rating: 9.5/10
