Editors' Picks: Our Favorite Things From the Week of Sept. 248 of 11
TV Reboot of the Week
The short-lived 1974 TV show "Get Christie Love" is getting a reboot from Courtney Kemp, the creator of and showrunner for "Power," with Vin Diesel as one of the producers.
In the original show, Teresa Graves played a street-savvy undercover cop who takes on the drug rings that have infiltrated the city of Los Angeles. In the reboot, she'll still go undercover, but this time as an African-American female CIA agent who leads an elite ops unit.
This one's a labor of love for Kemp, who loved the show as a child. She started working on the reboot before she started "Power." And now she has the credentials to get her pet project green-lit. Let's hope it's as groovy as the original!
