Show on German today in ARD program; interesting style of alternating between stage play (filmed) and film sequences in real world (Paris), following one narrative; based on novel set in 2022 by Houllebecq, those thesis of Islamisation still strikes me as proposterous. Votes: 21,229 | Gross: $2.54M
OV: "Truth", about the real-life journalistic errors that led CBS to force Dan Rather to retire in 2005. Blanchett was brilliant in her leading role as the investigative reporter (whose memoir formed the basis of the film); Redford was also excellent as D.R.. The depiction of how business and politics (in an election year) are closely intertwined was well done. The supporting cast and the cinematography made it thoroughly compelling. A cautionary tale still valid today.
