Editors' Picks: Our Favorite Things From the Week of Feb. 46 of 12
Poster of the Week
The marketing machine for the Untitled Deadpool Sequel is really kicking into gear ahead of its May 18 release and looks to be even more subversive than the campaign that launched the original. The latest poster is a bullet-riddled nod to an iconic scene from Flashdance (1983). This was quickly followed by the most detailed look at the new film we’ve yet seen, with a trailer that showcased incoming villain Cable (Josh Brolin), making sure to spoof Toy Story and taking a shot at Justice League in the process. It all points to a movie that aims to surprise as well as stun. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if they actually called it the Untitled Deadpool Sequel.
