Editors' Picks: Our Favorite Things From the Week of Jan. 215 of 16
Sundance Recommendation of the Week
This year’s Sundance Film Festival included more than 100 movies. So, we haven’t had chance to see them all (yet). But of those we saw, Juliet, Naked was a true crowd-pleaser that could prove popular when it goes on general release. The romantic comedy is the story of Annie (Rose Byrne), the long-suffering girlfriend of Duncan (Chris O’Dowd), and her unlikely transatlantic romance with once revered, now faded singer-songwriter Tucker Crowe (Ethan Hawke), who also happens to be the subject of Duncan's musical obsession. With likeable characters, a funny script, strong soundtrack, and charming performances, it's hard not to imagine this winning over audiences.
