- DirectorRichard LinklaterStarsJason LondonWiley WigginsMatthew McConaugheyThe adventures of high school and junior high students on the last day of school in May 1976.I just saw this one hour ago or so, and I loved it. I absolutely love movie from, or at least that reflects the 70's and 80's. Advantageously with all the high school stuff in it. Teenage movies where they party and smoke weed. Those movies are almost always so great. Haha.
- DirectorNigel ColeStarsAshton KutcherAmanda PeetTaryn ManningUnacquainted Emily and Oliver join the mile-high club together on the way from LAX to NYC--end of story. Except that they keep meeting constantly over the next seven years..Ok, the thing about that this movie was sooo much better than I expected!? I just saw it because I had nothing else to do. Don't really know what to say about it, it was just a swell love film. Yeah. That's that.
- DirectorRupert SandersStarsKristen StewartChris HemsworthCharlize TheronIn a twist to the fairy tale, the Huntsman ordered to take Snow White into the woods to be killed winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen.Saw this one in the movie theatre. And it was sooooooo much better than I thought it would be. Kirsten was SO *beep* beautiful in that dark dark hair, and of course Charlize was breathtaking as well. In fact, almost everybody in this whole production was extremely good looking. Like Chris Hemsworth (gorg) and Sam Clafin. Yepp, love'd 'em all.
- DirectorJohn WatersStarsJohnny DeppRicki LakeAmy LocaneIn 1950s Baltimore, a bad boy with a heart of gold wins the love of a good girl, whose boyfriend sets out for revenge. This was not at al as I expected it to be. It was so... unserious. But in a funny was, haha. It was just so excessive, in every way. I do not think I will watch it again, but yeah. It was on my watchlist, so. And now I have seen it. And that's that. I absolutely LOVE young Johnny Depp though - current crush! I'm gonna get in a Johnny Depp-period probably. RIGHT now, it's Leo.
- DirectorGreg MottolaStarsJesse EisenbergKristen StewartRyan ReynoldsIn the summer of 1987, a college graduate takes a 'nowhere' job at his local amusement park, only to find it's the perfect course to get him prepared for the real world.Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart and Ryan Reynolds! Great to see them in this movie, although there is something about Kristen that I really do not enjoy. Something about how she always keeps her hand fisted. Anyways, this film was a lot better than expected. Super watchable. Ryan is so very attractive (therefore, I will stare at him).
- DirectorHoward DeutchStarsMolly RingwaldJon CryerHarry Dean StantonA poor girl must choose between the affections of dating her childhood sweetheart or a rich but sensitive playboy.Yet another John Hughes film I watched lately. With Jon Cryer! What a surprise. And the guy who plays that babbling person who becomes boss in The Office. And Molly Ringwald. She's in like, most of John Hughes films. Haha. This was one of the most watchable ones, actually. It was pretty good, really!
- DirectorCameron CroweStarsJohn CusackIone SkyeJohn MahoneyA noble underachiever and a beautiful valedictorian fall in love the summer before she goes off to college.Yet another 80's movie. I love the feeling of 'em and this one was actually really good. I have not much to say about it really. This is another of them movies that Emma Stone talks about in Easy A. So yes, I just had to watch it. I have seen like three of them now, is that all of them? hmm. Anyways, this was absolutely watchable.
- DirectorTodd HaynesStarsChristian BaleCate BlanchettHeath LedgerRuminations on the life of Bob Dylan, where six characters embody a different aspect of the musician's life and work.I have had this on my watchlist forever! But now, yesterday or something, I finally watched it. And it was - disappointing. It's now that it was bad, not at all. It's very well produced. It's just that, I think it is too artistic, and I didn't really understand the plot! It's sad really, that I did not get it, cuz i bet it would be a great film if I did. But I just did not see what was going on and stuff. I still love Heath Ledger and Bob Dyan's music though. Maybe I'll watch this again in a few years and hopefully I can understand the pattern of the plot better then.
- DirectorMichael LehmannStarsWinona RyderChristian SlaterShannen DohertyAt Westerburg High where cliques rule, jocks dominate and all the popular girls are named Heather, it's going to take a Veronica and mysterious new kid to give teen angst a body count.Oh my god this was so totally weird. And not even in a good way.
But everybody have this film on their like "Best Teenage movies"-lists. Is there something I don't understand? This was, thumbs down. - DirectorAmy HeckerlingStarsSean PennJennifer Jason LeighJudge ReinholdA group of Southern California high school students are enjoying their most important subjects: sex, drugs and rock n' roll. The only thing I'm watching right now is movies from the 70's and 80's. Saw this yesterday, and it was.. well, watchable. It's fun to see Sean Penn, since he had directed (and written) one of my favorite movies. He is so ugly in this film though!! He looks a lot better now. Haha. Old.
- DirectorEdgar WrightStarsMichael CeraMary Elizabeth WinsteadKieran CulkinIn a magically realistic version of Toronto, a young man must defeat his new girlfriend's seven evil exes one by one in order to win her heart.I just saw some snapshots from this production and remembered how much I like it. It is really bad actually. Very dorky and everything, so I just can't believe how much I like it. I always laugh so hard when I watch it. And this film has made me almost always go "this is, this is, this is....boring, dele-ete". And I have like the greatest crush on Michael Cera.
- DirectorSteve RashStarsPatrick DempseyAmanda PetersonCourtney GainsAn outcast secretly pays the most popular girl in school one thousand dollars to pretend to be his girlfriend for a month. This one is cool. I love 80's movies. And Ronald gets so cool and handsome when he is being "the cool guy". Love the ending with the lawn mower.
- DirectorAndrea ArnoldStarsKaya ScodelarioJames HowsonSolomon GlaveA poor boy of unknown origins is rescued from poverty and taken in by the Earnshaw family where he develops an intense relationship with his young foster sister, Cathy. This is crap. Not crap actually, but it's weird. Not at all as I thought it would be (like the one from 2009). I only watched this because I was exited to see Kaya Scodelario in something else than Skins. She was just as depressing (I love skins though)
- StarsTom HardyCharlotte RileyAndrew LincolnFoundling Heathcliff is raised by the wealthy Earnshaws in Yorkshire but in later life launches a vendetta against the family.I LOVE it. We saw this movie in english class and I always love the movies we watch there, while everybody else hates them. We did not have time to see the whole film at one time in class, so I went home and downloaded it. I like these kinds of movies.
- DirectorNick CassavetesStarsGena RowlandsJames GarnerRachel McAdamsAn elderly man reads to a woman with dementia the story of two young lovers whose romance is threatened by the difference in their respective social classes.Don't know what to say about this. It has been one of my favorite love stories since I was like... ten. It's simply great.
- DirectorJohn HamburgStarsPaul RuddJason SegelRashida JonesFriendless Peter Klaven goes on a series of man-dates to find a Best Man for his wedding. But, when his insta-bond with his new B.F.F. puts a strain on his relationship with his fiancée, can the trio learn to live happily ever after?I have a predilection of Paul Rudd from he being Phoebe's husband Mike (or Crap-Bag) in FRIENDS, and Jason Segel from Marshal in HIMYM. I also like Rahida Jones from the Office (saw this movie before I started watching office though). This movie is really entertaining and funny! Very watchable.
- DirectorJohn HughesStarsEmilio EstevezJudd NelsonMolly RingwaldFive high school students meet in Saturday detention and discover how they have a great deal more in common than they thought. This is an 8'0's-classic so I felt like I had to see it! It was not as good as I might have thought it would be. But I liked... the ending. Haha. It's entertaining.
- DirectorCéline SciammaStarsZoé HéranMalonn LévanaJeanne DissonA family moves into a new neighborhood, and a 10-year-old named Laure deliberately presents as a boy named Mikhael to the neighborhood children.Watched this with a bunch of my friends, they didn't like it. I actually had to nag a bit to persuade them that we should really check this movie out.
And I liked it (I think I'm a little bit more deep and stuff than they are). I like french movies and this story is fascinating. - DirectorCatherine HardwickeStarsHeath LedgerEmile HirschVictor RasukThe film follows the surf and skateboarding trends that originated in Venice, California during the 1970s.LOVE! I like coolness (and Emile Hirsch). And I like skateboarding and movies that reflects real stories from another time. This gets a lot of points in my mind. John Robinson is like really amazing in this as well!
- DirectorDan HarrisStarsSigourney WeaverJeff DanielsEmile HirschMembers of a dysfunctional family react differently to the suicide of the eldest son.EMILE! OK, he is like the love of my life. No idea what it is about him but. I simply love him, ok!? (and I've learned - it is easy to love secretly from a distance!).
So, about this film. I really like it. Watched it two nights in a row. And I think I'm gonna keep watch it! I didn't expect much from it, but it was great! - DirectorMichael BurkeStarsEmile HirschRichard JenkinsTom GuiryThe film follows the story of Duncan, a fourteen-year-old misfit farm boy trying to fill the void and alleviate the numbness left by his mother's passing. Unable to let her go quite yet, Duncan mimics his dead mother. He talks in her voice at the dinner table and wears her fur coat to bed. Edgar, Duncan's distant sixty-year-old father, doesn't understand the strange manifestations of his son's mourning. Why can't Duncan grieve like a normal person? Macho mate Perry Foley, who has it physically even harder on his dad's farm, usually comforts Duncan and defends his 'wimpiness' to their cocky ruffian mates Travis, Scotty and Brent. But although clearly attracted to gentle Duncan himself, the socially unacceptable suggestion of 'sissy' homosexuality makes Perry over-react and turn on his friend.OK, I love Emile. He is by far the one actor whom I've been the most in love with. But this movie is just weird. Emile is not always starring in the most swell films. This is just weird. I tend to like B-movies. But this is not even B. But I still love you EMILE!!!
- DirectorMark WatersStarsLindsay LohanJonathan BennettRachel McAdamsCady Heron is a hit with The Plastics, the A-list girl clique at her new school, until she makes the mistake of falling for Aaron Samuels, the ex-boyfriend of alpha Plastic Regina George.Four for you Glenn Coco, you go Glenn Coco.

This is a classic. - DirectorGary RossStarsJennifer LawrenceJosh HutchersonLiam HemsworthKatniss Everdeen voluntarily takes her younger sister's place in the Hunger Games: a televised competition in which two teenagers from each of the twelve Districts of Panem are chosen at random to fight to the death. This move is AMAZING. Loved it. I hadn't read the book when I watched this on the movie theater (I'm gonna read 'em this summer for sure!). But this is a super-duper good move. Makes it embarrassing to have been such a twilight fan (urgh)(Well, ok, twilight is still good, but..). Now - i'm a hunger gamer! Can't wait to read the book series and for the follow up movies to come.
Update!: It's the end of August now and the first week of school is over, and I've read the hunger gamer series about five times this past summer. Honestly like the best books, on so many levels, that I've read in my entire life. And now afterwards, the movie version has to get just a tint of a lower grade than before, just because there was some stuff that was a bit different from the book, that really they did not have a reason for making it different. But still: one of the greatest movies I've seen! - DirectorTate TaylorStarsViola DavisEmma StoneOctavia SpencerAn aspiring author during the civil rights movement of the 1960s decides to write a book detailing the African American maids' point of view on the white families for which they work, and the hardships they go through on a daily basis.I love this. For one thing, I like the clothing and language and everything like that. And second, the story is both amazing and horrifying. They make it so pure. And there is just something about Emma Stone..
- CreatorGreg DanielsRicky GervaisStephen MerchantStarsSteve CarellJenna FischerJohn KrasinskiA mockumentary on a group of typical office workers, where the workday consists of ego clashes, inappropriate behavior, tedium and romance. One of the best series. Watch again!!!
