- Laon is the largest film festival for young people in France and takes place since 1983. Every year about ten feature films are presented in competition as well as approximately 40 feature films and 50 short animated films in parallel sections.
- The festival took place in Laon until 2004 and is now called the Aisne International Film Festival for Young People travelling the department of Aisne and settling in another city every year.
